Cool podcast but you guys talk each other so much hard to hear
Of course Villa can break into top 6. Finished 7th, 1 point behind BHA and we gave everyone else a 13 game head start. 4 or 5 quality signings and we're there
Why not every team battered chelsea so they arent top4 anymore newcastle took their place already and brigton and others can push them out from top6. Unless ffp stops smaller clubs to improve theres nothing chelsea can do
They don't cheat FFP or have a state backing them so no chance unfortunately but for sake of our once great game I hope they do.
UTV 💜 💙
I do love this show. Rory says every time Emery comes up about finishing 8th twice. He won the fa cup and transformed the relationship with the fans. That's why he got given time.
People never gave Wolves this respect when we did it first. But now everyone is praising Brighton, Newcastle, and Villa. I respect Brighton because they're doing it the right way. Newcastle are revolting and should've been relegated already. Villa should be facing FFP issues.
that villa shirt is fire
Up the Villa. We'll consistently be up there competing for sure.
Arsenal were battling relegation when Emery got sacked. We didn't sack him for no reason lol. Villa fans will understand what every fan of the clubs Emery managed understand already, he's only good for 1 season.
this is the problem, many teams pushed on last season, newcastle, villa, brighton, bretford, fulham, but their problem now may be expectation and recruitment, Its fine having one good season, but fans will expect more this season. Also chelsea, arsenal, city, man u, liverpool will all strengthen, and Chelsea will be more competative this season and dont have any european football. So for all those aforementioned clubs can they match the expectations and the pressure that will bring ?
Spurs are there to be replaced in the big 6
The big 6 being Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Newcastle, Liverpool and Brighton?
up the villa
Villa are where they should be one of the highest wage bills and spends in the leauge , this bloke trying to make out its a better achievement than Brighton is laughable
Guy spoke so much sense until he suggested signing AWB. I do think we need to replace Cash but Cash is better than AWB.
People have a real misconception about Emery at Arsenal, no one’s saying he was a bad manager but you have to understand, he was brought into get us back in the top four and he couldn’t do that. If you ask any arsenal fan the last 3-4 months before he was fired were the lowest and most most miserable times I can remember.
we got absolutely embarrassed in a European final under him and on top of that if you think we bottled the league this year check how we bottled the top four race that year.

Interesting times at Villa. Everything looks to be heading in the right direction. However they have a history of shooting themselves in the foot. Will it be different this time?
Didn’t we say the same about Leicester? Big 6 can only be broken by a club like Newcastle with their wealth even if their fan base isn’t as big
Response to Rory – You mention that you feel emery was unjustly treated by Arsenal fans considering he finished 5th and in the European final but we were fine with Arteta finishing 8th in his first season. Let's add context to that 8th place finish and show you why it was a massive achievement. Arteta took over the the club half way through the season, where Arsenal was 16th in the league and in fact was consistently in the bottom 3 for the majority of the first half of the season. The style of football we played was disorganized and abysmal and we went 3months without a win. Emery was officially and statistically worse than lampard that season and Arsenal was bound to get relegated.
Arteta changed the landscape of the club. Changed the style of football and had the players running for every ball. Arteta achieved less points than only City (and potentially Liverpool. Not entirely sure) that season after managing the club for only 6months. And that season was not like last season where there were 10clubs in the relegation battle. Artetas climb from 16th to 8th was phenomenal and on top of that he won the FA cup. And surprisingly did not get a shout for manager of the season. All opposing fans like slapping Arteta with finishing 8th as a failure when it was in fact a massive success. And also question our behavior to Emery when he did worse than Lampard in that final season.
Rival fans always have this weird narrative of Emery’s time at Arsenal. Only Arsenal fans remember and understand the stress and sadness watching 90 minutes of that team caused towards the end of his tenure.
Villa have reestablished themselves as a top side after what seems like a very long time. They are a club that was always top 6 back in the 90s. And of course they won the European Cup back in the 80s. I don't think young people and foreigners understand the stature of Villa in English football. It's good to see them back in the conversation. Can they be top 6 again? Sure. Next season? Probably not, unless they recruit exceptionally well this summer. Tielemans is a good start. But no top tier players want to play for Villa in Conference League. Their owners appear to mean business, so maybe money will do the talking. My prediction: 7th.
What does it mean can AV break the big 6 when they already finished above Tottenham and Chelsea?
Tielemans will throw his toys out of the pram the night Villa get knocked out of the conference league
The big six Is made up . If villa win cups your see how big villa are . They will make man cit European paride and West ham's look minute .
No they cant
Lovely brummie accent that
Glad to see a fan from outside the Sky 6 getting a bit of coverage
It’s Emery not Emre ffs
It's already a big 7 now with Saudi Newcastle in the mix.
We certainly can and probably will next season.
Much to be confident about under the manager and the owners right now.
First time watching these videos – why does this Adam guy just talk over everyone? Really difficult for any points to be elaborated in a conversations when someone does that
Arsenal wasn’t 5th when Arteta took over, they were 10th
Big six??? There are only a Big one in the last decade: City and the other Big is under sleepy for awhile: United, the rest of the fake Big Six aren'T great
Horrible fuckers, got your big break on the Kick Off, And when Brian wanted his mates to be there, you two abandoned ship. Remember what goes around comes around.
Teilmans, moussa and torres so far
Who is the Villa fan on this clip?
