At Leverkusen Havertz was played as a 10 bagging whatever goals and assists. But Chelsea moved him to a forward because of his height and thats why he faults. He isn't a forward he is a midfielder. What I think Mikel wants is to put havertz in that left 8 position providing some sort of aerial dominance if that makes sense while also having imo elite attacking aspects better than xhaka put also has the ablity to use his body and be smart with interceptions etc.

As a City fan I genuinely don't think Chelsea know how to make best of the talents of their squad. KDB, Salah. Seeing what happened with Timo and Lukaku. And now Havertz, Mount, Kovacic. I genuinely think Havertz can be incredible. But he hasn't had the right environment. Even Sterling's performance gulf between City and Chelsea is concerning.
Arteta has the mentality and capabilities to bring out the best in every player he manages. Ther eis a reason Pep Guardiola rates Arteta so highly as a friend and as a coach. Havertz is young. He has won the champions league. His potential hasn't been realised at Chelsea despite winning them a UCL Cup. He is technically gifted and has experience that is needed when the season progresses. He has suffered from a batch of frankly bad managers and hasn't had the stability and consistency to thrive, and at such a young age he has PLENTY of time to get better. Arteta is the manager to do it.
It staggers me at how people like this have footballing platforms. Rorys knowledge is 1 dimentional. Everything is seen as binary and black and white when in fact there is more depth and detail that goes into football that he thinks.
