      Southgate is lucky Simon is not in the studio… it would’ve been bad for him .. he would’ve been grilled worse than Eddie Hearn especially on the topic of Maguire special privilege when he don’t even start at his club

      Squad for squad there are not many equal or better than england. They should have won the euros they went 1 up against italy and backed off and allowed them back into the game. Tht was Southgate fault. In the World Cup they were better than France but when the game starts to change tactically Gareth was to slow to react. He continually picks players who are either not playing regularly or not performing. Tht is a issue and if he doesn’t change and go for players tht are doing well at there club then the next euros will bring more disappointment to England fans.

      Its got nothing to do with the managers its all down to mentality? You can have all the ability in the world but if you dont match that with the strongest desire ul never win? Our players are pampered prima donnas end of !!!!

      After saying all this in the video I can tell you this for free if Maguire stays at united keeping the bench warm and playing a maximum of 8 games all season next season . I wouldnt be surprised he would be still start in Gareths games at next years Euros

      The only way Southgate can actually shut Jordan up is by actually winning Euro 2024, not by going on talksport to defend himself so before 2024 Simon’s opinion definitely stands. I’m not a fan of Jordan by the way but I definitely agree

      Swap Mancini & Southgate in the final of 2021 and England would have a Euros in the bag, no doubt about that.
      Vs France in the semi he could have been braver with his subs, Rashford should have come on a lot earlier for a start. But in key moments you can’t blame Southgate for the loss (the foul on Saka not given in the build up to Tchouameni’s goal, no pen awarded to Kane early on, Maguire and Rashford inches away from scoring, and of course Kane’s missed penalty)

      Terrible manager. Completely tactically inept….When he goes not one big club will hire him… Yet to find any fan who wants him to manage their club!

      what is criminal is if we had a better manager then England would have silverware. England have entrusted the crown jewels with a janitor who has no idea how to best use the embarrassment of riches at his disposal. It will be same old same old, England will cruise through qualifying bagging a hatful of goals against below average opposition and then when they meet the big boys they get out-thought as Southgate is tactically naive.

      Southgate is not good enough, we all know it. With the squad of players he has we should have won Euro 2020 but his lack of tactics exposed England, we should have made the final of the 2018 World cup but again Southgate floundered tactically and against France in the 2022 world cup he again floundered tactically, how many times does on have to flounder before it is realised he simply isn't good enough?
