At the age of 22, Nico Schlotterbeck has already played more than 60 Bundesliga games and is the defensive leader in the very successful Freiburg team in 2021/22. This is a really good signing from Borussia Dortmund, if they want to take the Bundesliga title seriously, they just couldn't rely on average center back like Akanji and Zagadou, even Hummels who declining, they need more than that, but still a massive upgrade needed at the back for Dortmund for sure

With the arrival of niklus sule and nico, hope borussia dortmund defence will be strengthened which was thier main weakness, if dortmund can keep erling haaland and if bayern cannot retain lewondiski one can see a new bundesliga champion next season.
