What is this obsession with Mahrez? His ball retention was awful yes he was better against weaker teams. In the big games hardly ever had an impact -luxury player. Cole in the minutes he has played has caused all sorts of problems for the opposition. A lot of jealousy from young pundits I think. They all want to waste 100 euros on players that would take 2 years to bed . Have any of you watched EDS and England under 21? I have he forced his way into the England team in the semi-final and final. Best player in those games. Better than players that are sold for 35 -45 million. What is your problem with him other than his age? Far better player than Oscar Bobb.

I prefer Olise tbh. I think long term he will have more versatility and promise under Pep’s tactical guidance. Plus he’s (to an extent) premier league proven, making a move to city can give him a real chance to take his game to next level!

It reminds me of a conversation I had when playing cricket, and a wild fast bowler from our team was endangering the life of an elderly later order non batsman with short pitched bowling. A team mate said "Well, he's a savage pitbull, but he's our pitbull". I get that, but I see no reason that we need to play with the unacceptable. I insisted on bowling next, beat the outside edge twice with outswingers before cutting the back to bowl him middle stump. The batsman laughed, gestured two one way, then one the other, and shook my hand whilst walking off. A lot of the younger players didn't get that, they thought it was weakness (I thought it was decency)
