Manuel Ugarte Ribeiro (Spanish: Manuel Ugarte Ribeiro; born April 11, 2001, Montevideo) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Portuguese club Sporting CP and the Uruguay national team.
On December 4, 2016, 15-year-old Manuel made his debut for Phoenix in the match of the Uruguayan Examples against the Danubio club. On March 10, 2019, he scored his first goal for Phoenix in a match against Racing.
He spent the 2020/21 season at the Portuguese Famalican. On August 9, 2021, he moved to Sporting Lisbon.
He played for the national team of Uruguay under 20 and for the Olympic team of Uruguay.
On September 5, 2021, Manuel Ugarte made his debut for Uruguay. He came on as a substitute in the 2022 World Cup qualifier at home against Bolivia (4-2) at Peñarol’s Campeón del Siglo. Ugarte appeared on the field in the 70th minute instead of Matias Vecino.
