  1. We need to play Kone! Give him lots of minutes, and let's take risks and play to win! Going in trying to win these games is important and every minute played for Kone will pay off again in 2026

  2. If they can "BRING IT" without being a defensive liability, that will put them on the field. Maybe not as a STARTER but as a STRONG SUB (which is what you want if behind on the score or if a player is sub-par on the day and needs to be SUBBED OFF).

  3. If you watch Kone’s interview from after todays game it’s very telling. He was not pleased, he believed they could have done better. He may now have the chance to raise his game & play with a level of players that play at a higher level than him .

John Herdman playing a MLS squad today with players that needed time on the pitch before cementing there spot on the roster was a brilliant move in many ways.

You learn & grow from challenge. Today he challenged some players.

  4. I don't disagree with this assessment of Kone, but I find it odd how our Canadian soccer pundits rarely talk about Osorio, who is currently the ONLY #10 in the Canadian lineup. Somehow one's only #10 isn't even considered to be a starter for this World Cup? I know this would be offensively agressive, but why not this line up:

    Borjan
    Johnston + Vitoria + Miller + Adekugbe
    Buchanan + Osorio + Eustaquio + Davies
    David + Larin

Hit these teams with this and get up a goal or two. Then bring in fresh legs such as adding another CB like Cornelius and a defensive midfielder like Piette or Hutchinson:

    Borjan
    Johnston + Vitoria + Miller + Cornelius + Adekugbe

    Buchanan + Hutchinson + Eustaquio + Davies

    David

  5. Everyone is complaining…do you guys really know the team? Without Davies and Buchanan on the sides, Canada is a very predictable team offensively. Defense wise, they did a magnificent work during qualifying, leave it as is. Speed on the sides is what makes Canada Dangerous

  6. Joel Waterman?

He played very badly, he was one of those responsible for the first goal against Bahrain, poorly executed passes, in short, he doesn't seem like a remarkable player to me, but is he what he is?
