Rasmus Hojlund is reportedly set to undergo a medical at Manchester United ahead of his £73 million ($93.65m) transfer from Atalanta. According to The Athletic, the Danish striker will travel to Manchester TODAY and head to Carrington to complete his medical tests before putting pen to paper. He will sign a five-year deal with the Premier League giants with an option to extend the contract for a further 12 months.

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo will miss ‘the first part of the season’ after suffering an ankle injury against Real Madrid. United are now expected to accelerate their plans to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. The Morocco international, 26, has entered the final year of his contract and it’s believed an offer of around £30million will be enough to sign him. Mainoo, 18, was pictured on crutches after hobbling out of United’s 2-0 defeat to Real in Houston in the early hours of Thursday. The Premier League club have now confirmed the extend of the teenager’s injury in a big blow to manager Erik ten Hag.

West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca has again been linked with a move away from East London this summer. The latest headline to come out of Italy is that Roma have put in a loan with an obligation to buy if he reaches a certain number of appearances, and if they qualify for the Champions League. Roma is Scamacca’s boyhood club, so it’s not a question of if he’d go there but rather a question of will they offer what the club wants. The Italian press seem desperate for Scamacca to return to Italy. They have been constantly making up offers to try and push him into a move. Whether it’s to get some clicks or whether it’s just wanting one of their young talents to be in the Serie A one thing is clear, he’s not going anywhere unless someone pays the fee.

  1. Sancho.Martial.VDB.Maguire..Bailly.Anothy. prob loan out Sancho. But these players have to go. Bring in a CB. And somebody on that right wing side. to help Hojlund in attack.
3 in attack formation. Rashford far left hojlund CF. We need Greenwood on the right side. Otherwise were left with Anthoy the little grabba. And sancho who both can't cross .need the other grabba back Greenwood

  2. Hey Ste thanks again for all your hard work, and the incredible contact you create for those of us here in the states! It was a pleasure to meet you and the rest of the Stratford Paddock crew! Take good care of yourself, and enjoy the ride!

  3. Absolute worst case scenario if he turns out to not be good enough for United we can still find buyers for a pacy decent 25/26 year old striker lmao. And that’s a HUGE if, considering he’s got all the raw materials needed and Eth has a proven track record of improving young players, especially strikers. He’s not some washed up 29 year old that Atalanta are scamming us for, it’s one of the most highly regarded young strikers in the world lmao. Kane’s transfer fee alone would cover Hojlund AND Amrabat, and Hojlund is literally on like 10% of Kane’s wage demands. Sell 2 of McFred and Maguire and you can get another 20-30m squad player in. This is literally the best possible transfer for us atm lol.

  4. The team is looking better. Now if they can drum up the enthusiasm to make an effort. Play as a team. Learn where the goal is. And not curl up and die in the second half. We could do better. And play Greenwood. Because as you keep saying, if they prove good, nobody cares.

  5. U don't mind overpaying for a player if he's consistent over a season. Casemiro had a great spell after a slow start but post suspension he was poor. We need him to give us a whole season. He's settled in now, knows the pace n physicality of the PL. No excuses thus season for dips in form.

  6. I've been supporting Man U for nearly 60 years and it breaks my heart to see what's happening now. The Glaziers have to go before its too late. As I see we'll be lucky to get top 10 next season.

  7. I don't rate Scamacca, not really because the profile of striker west ham got out of him didn't work out well in the premier league and generally I am not a big fan of the player. The premier league is without doubt one of the toughest leagues in europe and there's no guarantee young players abroad will thrive and adapt to the system and intensity incorporated into the league. It's highly unlikely we will bring in a second striker largely due to the fact our budget is limited and if we want to buy players from now on we need to sell some players to raise funds which is what we're currently doing to try and sign Amrabat who I am convinced will sign for manchester united.

  8. Mount, Onana, Hojlund, Amrabat, Evans thats not a a bad window tbh. I can see Greenwood coming back to give us another option upfront.

    Goalkeepers – Onana, Heaton, Kovar/Vitek

Defenders – Martinez, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof, Evans, Dalot, Wan Bissaka, Shaw, Malacia, Fernandez, Juardo

Midfielders – Casemiro, Bruno, Mount, Eriksen, Amrabat, Mainoo, Hannibal, Gore

Forwards – Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Garnacho, Hojlund, Greenwood, Amad

That is a very strong squad mixed with youth & experience

  9. Hojlund will bomb… everyone who is optimistic hasn't been watching the Premier League regularly. Mindless optimism. If he was a defender I'd give him some space… but he is expected to spend most of his time in the opponents box…. you guys have to be on crack if you think he will do great. If he scores 10 goals… I'd call this an achievement- United players these days do not find their strikers… this kid can create himself…? Nah. Will try one season, second season will get injured… third loaned out… 4th will see that United cannot move him on due to his wages… watch this space.

  10. Hojlund is a very good signing considering he won’t be on ridiculous wages and it’s someone who wants to be here, is also the managers choice, and we can have him here for his best years rather than strikers past their best

  11. I like Mctominay, always have. He's a true red. He has some howlers, but he's a big, strong, versatile lad with a great attitude. I'd be very disappointed if we let him go for cheap.
