Deandre Yedlin (born July 9, 1993 in Seattle, USA) is an American footballer of Latvian descent, a defender of the Turkish club Galatasaray and the US national team. Participant of the 2014 World Championship.

In 2011, he played for the team of the University of Akron, where he studied. On March 3, 2013, in a match against the Montreal Impact, Deandre made his MLS debut. For the Sounders, Yedlin became the club’s first alumnus to make his MLS debut. On July 15, he took part in the All-Star Game against Italy’s Roma. Deandre scored his first goal for the club on July 21 against the Colorado Rapids.

In the summer of 2014, DeAndre moved to the English Tottenham Hotspur. The first half of the 2014/15 season continued to play for the Seattle Sounders already on loan. Joined the London team on January 1st. On April 11, 2015, in a match against Aston Villa, he made his debut in the English Premier League.

In the summer of 2015, Yedlin moved to Sunderland on loan. On October 3, in a match against West Ham United, he made his debut for the Cats.

On 24 August 2016, Yedlin moved to Newcastle United, with whom he signed a five-year contract. The transfer of the player cost the club £ 5 million. Yedlin replaced Daryl Yanmat who left the team. Commenting on Deandre’s move, Newcastle coach Rafael Benitez said that the player has good experience, focus on attack, skill and excellent speed. On 27 August, Yedlin made his Newcastle debut as a substitute against Brighton & Hove Albion. On September 10, in a duel against Derby County, he scored his first goal for the new team.
