Xherdan Shaqiri embarrasses MLS goalkeeper after ‘no balls’ taunt

Xherdan Shaqiri had a great response to being teased by Dayne St. Clair, the goalkeeper of Minnesota United, during a Leagues Cup game. Shaqiri is a talented soccer player who used to play for Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan. Now, he is part of the Chicago Fire team, where he became their most expensive signing in February 2022. In a recent match against Minnesota, Fire was losing 1-0 when Shaqiri came in as a substitute. Shortly after, they got a penalty, and St. Clair tried to mess with Shaqiri’s mind by saying provocative things. However, Shaqiri stayed calm and scored the penalty, laughing back at the goalkeeper. The match had some exciting moments, with Hlongwane and Souquet scoring for both teams, but Kamara scored the winning goal for Fire. Their next Leagues Cup game will be against Puebla on August 1st.
