  1. This is a pre season and doesn’t mean much but:
    – Newcastle is building a strong squad for Europe
    – For 2023-2024: Brighton will play for Europa but they SOLD one of their players to Liverpool, another to Chelsea (Caicedo upcoming deal), and last season Trossard to Arsenal. If Brighton played EPL, Europa, FA Cup, EFL Cup and the EPL title, it would be too much for BHA, esp. if they had injuries.

  2. If Newcastle get one more high quality signing in, they'll be very difficult to break down but I think because their revenue isn't huge, they can only spend so much. Barne's if he stays fit, will be a very decent addition to the team. St. Maximum was so inconsistent.

  3. take that de zerbi mocking chelsea & keeping caicedo as prisoner. You got beaten bad on 2nd half of the game. So called best de zerbi

  4. As a magpie fan I honestly like the pressure mounted on the big teams currently from the "trio" of villa,Brighton, and Newcastle united, atleast every club from the top flight knows what's coming ahead, come August we shake it out💥💥💥💥

  5. Harvey Barnes is a great acquisition for Newcastle. Fancy him to do great things for them. If he has a strong enough season he might even find himself knocking on the door of the England euros squad.

  6. We need one more quality, reliable center back. I know our defensive record was amazing last season, but let's not fail to see the need to add in this area. I'm glad Lascelles is staying, but he doesn't fill that void if Botman or Schar gets injured. I initially thought we needed a left-back, but I guess Howe has faith that Targett can do the job if required. I think our mid-field is so strong now, we have adequate talent out on the wings, and a world-class star in Isak to shine alongside Wilson. I think we ALMOST have every area covered. Just get us one BIG addition to our defensive ranks, preferably somehow who can also cover right/left back if needed, and we'll be right in the mix for the top 4 again next season, in what will be a tougher season with Chelsea and Liverpool back in the hunt.
