  1. This is my goto channel for a clear eyed analysis of a game and individual players. DDG was a great servant of the club and deserves respect but he was being left behind by new demands. Onana is just so comfortable with the ball and what his ability with it is. Mistakes happen all over the pitch and opposing teams will try to take advantage of his being so far off the line, that is were the rest of team need to make it as difficult as possible for long distance lobs.

  2. Who has seen that we are pushing Martinez in the middle field most times of the build up, onana is going to make us score more goals come next season. Should also bring in hojlund to have that physical presence upfront, given rashford Pace, we're going to be a Joy to watch

  3. Another effect that Onana brings is that it enables players you wouldn't expect to attack to be much closer to the box such as the fullbacks which also highlights the missing piece being a "creative targetman" that enables space creation. Bruno didn't work because he didn't have Weghorst to create space for him which somewhat worked last season. Højland needs to work on his hold up play though if we want to replicate and improve upon what glimpses we had with that. Overall, EtH is creating a tactic that severely punishes the meta of high press.

  4. An I guarantee his passing stats probably helped our defender in energy & legs with the those passing stats vs when DeGea turn the ball over 17 out of 19 in the FA finals vs City..👍🏽

  5. Totally wrong assessment of Onana’s role in the first goal. Being fast off his line forced Bellingham to take a very low percentage shot. 9 times out of 10, that shot doesn’t go in. The fact it went in doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right decision to come off his line. If he had stayed on his line, Bellingham would have had an easy shot into the bottom corner and everyone would be wondering why we had spent 40+ million for another De Gea.

  6. Sorry for the reality check, but somebody has to say it.

This isn't a DDG defence or Onana slander, but last season, with DDG winning golden glove, showed that our defensive 3rd wasn't the biggest issue. Its midfield going forward. This video highlighted passes to the back 4, hardly anything about the midfield transition into the attack – where our main issues lie.

I know it's 1 game but all I've heard all summer is "Onana will be transformative to how we play" I said cool but what about the OUTFIELD players – they're who I'm concerned about and this game proved it. We have no patterns in the final third. We have no method to what we are doing. Our goals aren't by design.

I looked at the midfield onwards compared to Madrids, and the lack of quality is frightening. Our so-called best player in Bruno isn't as technically sound as Camavinga, who has been playing at left back. Garnacho Rashford and Mount is hardly a frightening attack.

I believe in ETH big time. However, I can't believe how naive some fans have been with the whole keeper situation. According to some fans, Onana would just about score goals for us. They'll use Pep and City as a reference, failing to mention that City were already winning titles and their outfield players consisted of the likes of David Silva, Yaya Toure, Kompany, Fernandinho, Aguero etc etc.

  7. If our forwards had finished their chances.. no one would be coming for onana’s head. People are too reactionary these days. It’s pre season players are adapting to a new style of play. Calm down people

  8. 1st goal wasn’t really Onana’s fault but you guys haven’t noticed it well
Awb covered the offside when bro was not even near to him

  9. @AJanalysis first i'd love to appreciate the work you do. I have never missed any of your fair assessment. Even though it from a personal view, still most of it makes logical sense to majority of the audience, including the elite coaches.
Secondly Onana signing has indeed opened up numeerous possibility in terms of tactical fluidity. We can expect ETH imploying both Der Zerbi , Klopp and Guardiola style of play in different games for he has the right players to implement such philosophys. United have turnes from predictable to unpredictable opponents. ETH will rely much on his ingame management than prior tactical plannings.

Still waiting for more content from you. We here from Africa ;Kenya appreciate your content.❤

  10. I remember when DE GEA first come to Man UTD ,he didnt start well, but confidence built later after few games and SIR ALEX trusted him to become MAN UTD 1st goalkeeper..
ONANA debut is not the same, but it is still early , and for me he already done excellent job..
MAN UTD FANS need to see what ETH want with the new team..cause SIR ALEX team already no more with DE GEA gone..
but i see the SPIRIT of MAN UTD already lifted..GLORY DAYS will come..

  11. People keep saying Real wasn't pressing but please note that they knew what type of goal keeper is in the goal not that they don't want to press but they knew what could happen. So please lets be real out here

  12. Well, I'm more concerned about how the long ball from rudiger split the defence open like rookie defence than Onana coming out to claim the ball… The likes of varane.
