If Fred goes we'll truly miss his ability to be the right place at the right time. You don't get in the Brazil national team being a sideman. He's suffered from poor coaching and misuse like everyone on the team prior to Ten Hag arriving. We think what we saw was who he is and it's not. He's not a CDM, a box to box but mostly an attacking box-to-box. He always gave 100% even when it wasn't a good game for him, he still ran his socks off for the team. There aren't enough players like him out there.
Fred always shines as attacking midfielder, just behind two forwards.
Idk why they put him as defensive midfield.
