  1. Would pay what they want for him if you want the player pay it but that’s city for you don’t have a clue it bewilders me how we managed to get haaland pay the money city

  2. Another great, fantastic update! Really interested to see what happens with this transfer! Keep it up, let’s hope we get some incomings soon

  3. So the "definitely" done deal was a no where near a done deal. The "reliable" sources were no more accurate than tossing a coin. Can't see the Gvardiol deal being more that a few Million difference. We walk away from a Kane deal a couple of years back yet pay over the odds for the Grealish deal (even if ultimately he has been worth it). Bernardo staying would be great news if that happens.

  4. Well if city think gvardiol is worth it they will pay ,but sometimes if the deal aint right then the deal aint right and you walk away
Pep .txikki and khaldoon know there stuff and alot more than us so trust em ppl they aint let us down yet .
    CTID

  5. We should stick to our valuation of him like we do with every other transfer target. If RBL continue with their stance of trying to up the fee, then we walk away. Simple.

  6. Get Gvardil in he covers that left side position for years to come unless he flops , and he can play LB. As for Laporte he barely played last season dont think Guardiola sees him in his plans going forward we might need to take a hit on him no one outside of the prem is going to meet our asking price. Same for cancelo dont see him moving on to be honest if we are going to leep him make him back up on the wing because he is dreadful in defence alot better going forward

  7. No both teams have already reached a verbal agreement tension between clubs only because the deal was leaked early and Rb don’t want the price to come otherwise they will be charged more to buy players cause of the money they will get. Deal will still go on and everything will be sorted in coming days and second medical will also go ahead once green light is given

  8. It's game on. Pre-Season is under way. Games to win. 25 players have made the cut. Pep will prune this to around 16, rest for loans, transfer or Academy.

Not the end of the world for transfer targets but they are now already behind the eight ball. They will have to force themselves into the small final squad in probably the best team in the world and displace someone else! It's a big ask.
Pretty sure Laporte, the Doyles, THB etc won't be too disappointed if Josko Gvardiol doesn't sign. It's an opportunity for them. Sadly football and professional sport in general, can be brutal. It's dog-eat-dog, look after number one. Not to get Gvardiol sends a message to other players and clubs. City mean business, don't mess with them.
European teams don't have much money to pay for and afford the wages of City players. That's just reality. Bernardo looks happy at City. Mrs Bernado?
Barca still owe City around £40 million for Ferran Torres. Not holding my breath expecting that to be paid early.
Academy is superb. Profited by circa £50m already from players sales etc. Long may it continue.

Pep has a wealth, within the ranks, to fill all positions, in-house, if need be.

  9. Getting fed up with this josko get it done or move on, we have the money we have sold plenty of players and we have the money so stop being tools and get the job done

  10. If its correct that pep & city where watching gvardiol a while back as he's only just signed a. New contract city could have got him for nothing at the end of his original contract

  11. I think the deal will get done, there's a reason why City haven't pulled out of the deal yet.
I think that reason is Pep.
Gvardiol is an all rounded CB who can also play as a LB, Pep has wet dreams about this type of player😂… he offers Pep flexibility in defence.
I think he's the only reason why City are still waiting on RB Leipzig.

I think Leipzig are attempting to get more money out of City, it was practically known that the deal was gonna happen… even they referenced to the deal happening at some point.
It doesn't make sense to get upset over the transfer being officially reported unless they intentionally leaked it.

Leipzig probably laid out a high price tag and City accepted it without even flinching.

  12. I'm beginning to think the reason Haaland signed with us is his Dad, not that we did a good job negotiating. We are really slow in scouting and negotiating in my opinion. Grealish was not worth 100 mil but we paid it two years ago and we couldn't match 105 for Rice but we entered the transfer race??? How far off was our evaluation 10 mil. However we will be selling some out players for less than their value just to trim the squad (Laporte ect) 🤷🏽

  13. Please explain to me why City is penny-pinching over this deal? The club and the world has known about the price for nearly a year, not to mention, it’s literally 10m as RBL has said the fee is £86m and not the £76m that City keep proposing. 3months of dragging our feet our £10? Really? Pay up or shut up and move on. This is getting embarrassing. Throw in the fact that his releases clause is higher next season, really shows RBL has no interest in letting him go. Therefore, if City want him, pay the measly £10 and five they’re £86m.

Also, this notion of we need to wait to get rid of Cancelo or Laporte or both first is utter nonsense – it’s a short-sighted way of conducting business. The calculus is easy: City want too much for Laporte and Cancelo which is why no one wants to buy them outside the PL. Drop their prices to move them on while getting Gvardiol in. Otherwise, we lose out on Gvardiol AND we are still stuck with Laporte & Cancelo in which case, City will be forced to keep players that don’t want to be there (bad for dressing room) or loan them or sell them cheap to get them out the door. Problem is, if they’re forced to do that, then so Gvardiol will not be available. So just buy Gvardiol now and lower the prices on Laporte and Cancelo bc they’re gonna have to do it anyway. Very simple here, not sure why they’re making this so complicated and in doing so, pissing RBL off more who now seem like they’re gonna walk. Penny-pinching is not a longterm strategy

  14. If anything City will be argueing over the 'construction' of the fee, as Arsenal have just been doing with West Ham regarding Rice … mind you it hardly helps that Leipzig don't really want to sell the player , and keep steadily increasing the fee!
