    Nottingham Forest #nffc transfer news never ends, as breaking in the last hour is a bid received from a #premierleague rival for our Welsh wizard Brennan Johnson! The bid is reported to be £30 million pounds, on day one of the transfer window opening!
    The Premier League team who placed the bid is that of #brentford who are looking to replace Ivan Toney for the first half of next season, as he will be suspended due to the betting controversy.

      Yet again, naivety. Forest aren’t going to ‘build around’ anybody. Once you have a fledgling star, bigger clubs swoop. Johnson’s on £30k p/w, Villa can offer Euro footie and £90k+ p/w. Does he have a release clause? Btw, dissing Brentford who are a superbly run club with a top owner and manager is frankly childish arrogance. Forest aren’t a big club or major force ( 5 year Purple patch in the early’ ‘80’s) and maybe people need to wind their necks in..20+ years in the lower leagues without actually worrying the top of the Championship until a playoff fluke.

      I think Forest are going to buy more under 21 players as they will now be playing in the EFL Cup.

      There are some players we must never sell even for £80 million because we won't replace them and they would take us into successes in the cups and league. For me, Danilo, MGW and Brennan fall into that category

      Still cant see a reason to leave unless it's a team with Euro footy or Spurs/chelsea money…. Unless Mr M ever has to pull the purse strings in and cant afford to keep throwing big bucks about

      We need to up Brennans wages. 30k a week, when Wood and Shelvey are getting nearer 100k, that would p1ss me off and suspect it does Johnno

      You mention a link with Tottenham for Johnson. There was some mileage in that, towards the end of last season. Hope he stays, but wouldn't be surprised if he departs.
