Pepe was never a bad player. Just needed to be coached. He should have been coached to be a specialist SPEEDSTER. Less tricks and dribbling except in the opposition box.
He just needed to SIMPLIFY his game and only 1 JOB: do the WING SPRINTING very well then cross 75% of the time, dribble 25% of the time ONLY for an ASSIST

Seems like academy players hardly get given a chance. You have more chance of playing 1st team football for arsenal if your a 18yr old brazillian brought from abroad than someone whos been at the club from 5 years old and gone through the system.
