Everton continued preparations for the competitive 2023/24 campaign with a valuable workout against Bolton Wanderers in a friendly that ended goalless.
The Blues impressed with some bright play and created a host of opportunities in the first half, before finishing the contest with a youthful-looking side following a swathe of half-time substitutions.

There centre back is good at defending.. Dobbin shoukd have dinked the keeper mauoay is 2 little and not fast enough for a centre forward

And there will be (more) goals, especially with DCL returning, and Danjuma playing, and hopefully still at least one new striker.
It seems like despite our very limited attacking options, Maupay is currently our preferred striker????? Is Tom Cannon considered surplus to requirements. Weren't most Evertonians wishing that we could have recalled him from PNE at the end of last season.

Tim Howard more likely to score from his own box against Bolton than Maupay is from 6 yards out.
