  1. Newcastle with a shocking offer, they are going to close a deal with AC Milan for midfielder Sandro Tonali. £55m plus £4m in add-ons to convince Milan to say yes. I see Milan want £5m more, but the deal is agreed with the player. Six-year contract. Tonali is going to Newcastle

  2. Arsenal are Strengthening and no big clubs are buying their players. Man City are loosing their players and are getting older.

If they get Rice too, Arsenal should be the favorites next season, given how majority of the EPL teams had no clue on how to handle their fast possession football.

  3. I wonder if Arteta is planning on using Havertz like how Klopp did Firminho not necessarily going to score the most goals, but without him in certain games the team is not just the same, the ultimate utility man. Because i agree that Havertz is an odd signing not quite sure how he will be best used

  4. I am a Chelsea Fan but I have to say that I think this is potentially a bad signing for Arsenal as it is out of sequence.
Arsenal should have secured Rice instead of what feels like taking his signature for granted, or even Lavia as players they actually need in those positions. instead, they have now acquired a luxury player like Havertz who for me does not make the starting 11 as opposed to the aforementioned two but does add strength in depth to their squad. They have just bought a rotating squad player primarily for European matches

  5. with the massive footballing brain Rory has, its unbelievable how he didnt become one of the greatest managers in world football…

  6. Arteta will surely use him more intelligently than Chelsea have. If he didn’t have a plan this wouldn’t have happened. Could be a great signing

  7. He is 24, he looks like someone who might just kick on when playing in a position better suited to him. It could be a wee bit like Terry Henry, someone who was not loved at the last team they played at.

  8. "Screams of indecision" says Buvy, when Arsenal make a bid in the first few days of the transfer window. This guy is so deluded. How anyone can take him seriously is beyond me.

  9. Havertz is a great player. He didn’t do well at Chelsea but a lot of top players flop at Chelsea. Think of all the players that flopped at Chelsea and went on to be some of the best in the world. The club is cursed, even Haaland would have flopped if he signed for Chelsea.

  10. Football is all about profiles now, its no longer about formations. Havertz gives Arsenal different profiles to play with. If Arsenal sign Rice alongside Havertz, he can almost certainly play the left #8 to make that left pod more attack minded. Arsenal can shift to a diamond in midfield with Rice and his ability to break up counters. Arsenal can also play with an extra attacker with a backline of Rice, Gabriel, Saliba and White. You have to look at Arteta's system as dynamic. players have positions, but they are more fluid. Defend with 5 attack with 5. Rice and Havertz on the pitch together would mean Arsenal, when chasing games can defend with 4 and attack with 6. We can push the backline further up. Havertz also has an incredible ability to create chances. The problem with Chelsea has been that they're terrible the past two seasons in putting those chances away. They didn't have a striker so they were forced to put Havertz up there. This is not the case with Arsenal. He also wins a ton of duels, which is huge since that was one of the issues for Arsenal during the run-in.

  11. McKola is the only one who has some brain cells out of this trio. How could Rory and Buvey be chronically online in this scene and be so poorly informed? Like ffs just look up Tifo's vid on why Arteta needs him and it all makes total sense.
Also, without even looking anything up and using your common sense, think about Havertz's career up to this point. Undroppable at Leverkusen and Chelsea just made him look bad because they are terrible at getting the best out of any player they sign, and even then he came in clutch when they needed him most.
He's a big game player, and can be utilized effectively in several formations/roles (under the right manager), and create a new dimension in Arsenal's attack and counter-attacking transitions. If anyone can get the best out of him, it's Arteta. If he even gets to half the level he was at at Leverkusen, he'll be a great addition, for depth if nothing else.

  12. Really funny that they all agreed Havertz can’t play where Xhaka played and then Rory described his best position as…doing exactly what Xhaka did in the Arsenal attack

  13. i think that none of us know better than arteta, and none of us know how we'll play next season. mikel has been in charge of arsenal for 3 and a half seasons, in each season our style of play has developed, changed and completely improved from the previous. to think that we'll play the same way is naive. good example is granit. in each of those 3½ seasons he's played different roles ranging from lb, cdm to lcm as an 8. kai is very different and will add a different dimension to what we already have, but nothing is guaranteed thats why i never judge a player untill his time is up

  14. One thing we can also say Arsenal may change there system then he will be a fit no matter what. Arteta knows what his unlocked potential is. Arsenal fans they trust arteta and the process.

  15. Difference is arsenal fans only hope is in arteta can make him good. Can say that about anyone and ignores the evidence of his performances. At Chelsea we let him start and play 90 minutes 9/10 games for 3 years and he’s genuinely looked like a make a wish kid getting a go.

  16. Kia Havertz isn’t a leader type player I think at Chelsea he folded under the pressure Of his price tag and to be Chelsea’s leader upfront. He doesn’t have that pressure at arsenal because we have so many players that Share load. He will be successful

  17. Havertz can be fantastic false 9,and can play in place of Saka as he's left footed. Arsenal needed someone better than Nelson. Havertz has played 3 seasons in Prem,he can adapt fast&well

  18. Kai Havertz will be amazing for Arsenal. He'll go into an 8 role and replace Xhaka. These guys just don't know footy that well

  19. For the past 3 summers, we've heard football podcasters, pundits & experts say Arsenal transfers don't make sense & don't add anything to the team. Only just to watch the team continue to improve… LOL! These poor souls will never learn.

  20. I'm an Arsenal and this one intrigues me, after what we did last season and how our recent signings have progressed Arteta and Edu deserve some trust. I can only think that we are signing Havertz because Arteta has plans to use him completely differently to how and where he played at Chelsea with the benefit that he can also play as a forward if needed

  21. I can see him do great things if Arteta plays him in the Xhaka role. He's not a number 9 or a winger, that's how Chelsea used him and he was horrendous in those roles.

It always always felt like Chelsea in recent years just opened up a can of players and just threw them on the pitch. There was no vision behind it.

  22. Do people just forget what he was like at Leverkusen? You can't take his chelsea form into account because chelsea's form as a whole squad has been poor over the last couple seens. Constantly changing managers who use him differently. Honestly think Arteta will get the best out of him.

  23. Rory jenning should stop evaluating incoming player to any club give he was so wrong about Haaland what was he said “ it is disrespectful for the rashfords and kanes and havetz of epl … “ brahahaha … buevie is the best come on city

  24. I was worried about this signing, especially at the fee we paid, but after watching this video I am far more confident he is gonna come good for us. He played as one of the two number 10s for Leverkusen with Brandt and excelled. Reports of Madrid trying to sign him for months and even coming in at the end asking what Arsenal was willing to pay.

  25. I honestly don't have anything against these guys so fair play to getting/making ya own podcast but all 3 have awful takes and are proof jst coz anyone can have a platform doesn't mean anyone should.

  26. As a Chelsea fan I agree that Havertz isn't amazing consistently. and I don't particularly mind him leaving either.

But he hasn't been a weakling or a defensive liability the last half of his chelsea career. I wonder how closely Rory watches our games because the ONE thing that Havertz has gotten better at during his time at Chelsea is his toughness and work ethic. Being one of our hardest working forwards last season. That has been the sole reason I've quite grown to like him even
    though offensively he barely produces.
