  1. I actually think option to buy deals are smart. If the loan spell doesn’t go to plan then your not stuck with them. Every transfer has a bit of a risk so I’m not against it.

  2. To be fair Paul. I've noticed that Newcastle "fans" on social media get upset over …well anything. When We win. Wasn't big enough. When we draw (man city) some people complain we blew a lead. It's upsetting how quickly a certain segment have become Newcastle Fans In Name Only. Similar to Man U. Not u of course. But it's a bit shocking

  3. Spot on about Ashby, loans aren’t always the best case scenario and he’s learning off the best right back in the world (his words and mine) and I also think he’ll get more minutes in the team this season

  4. The only reasons I can see that we're still waiting on Barnes is that it's entirely dependant on the ASM deal being completed or they want some attention in the US for it. Think I saw something from the athletic saying that there had been objections (sigh) so it might need to go through an independent valuation.

Hopefully that's wrong and they want to do it in the US to generate some interest, so might happen sooner rather than later

  5. The Toon has loads of youngsters, even if the toon don’t sign many players , they will be ok , and obeying FFP , the Arabs have bought Maxi , let’s hope they loan him back , they can get over FFP
I see other teams are kicking off about it , already ,

  6. Yes, there is a Newcastle tax. But there is also the Saudi Premier League. Saudi could buy them, then sell to Newcastle at fair value.

  7. What's wrong with the 18 year old, Fresnada I think, half the price and supposed to be top notch. We will not be held to ransom.

  8. I look in these comments and honestly, the amount of cry babies we have in here is embarrassing (especially that clown with anti-Howe agenda that keeps gassing on about the Keegan days).

Honestly grow up man. We are ahead of schedule, pushing against some admittedly frustrating FFP parameters and some of you are currying your kegs. Trust the long term process of Ashworth and the team and see where we are at the end. Bunch of entitled whinge bracket adults forming because we had a surprisngly good season.

  9. There must be some reason why they haven’t announced yet, just we don’t know it. We are Not In The Know 😂😂 Thanks for the video Paul, very informative as usual 👍🖤🤍

  10. my only guess about barnes' deal is that we're waiting for ASM's deal to be confirmed which it hasn't. I think this has something to do about the complaints from other clubs about al hilal is also own by pif which is just bullshit.

  11. Totally agree with the ethics of the new owners holding out for the right price, because IF we overpay for just one player, any further buys will just be more difficult with clubs overvaluing players because we have the money.
