As an Australia fan, I was really disappointed by the mentality after our goal. We could have replicated Saudi Arabia and pressed France and intimidated them, but we dropped off and for some reason thought we could hold off Mbappe with Griezmann having all the time in the world. Really disappointed really but in reality we’d never beat Frajce

Mbappe tends to turn it up as the competition goes on, he was pretty poor in the group games and then turned it on in the KO stages, but I disagree that he was poor. He just didn't finish some chances, also Messi wouldn't have scored four out of four, this isn't Football Manager, and Messi isn't that kind of finisher anymore. But Mbappe was very dangerous throughout and I thought he was France's most dangerous player along with Dembele. Giroud is a great target man for them, and as crazy as it is to say, they might be just as dangerous if not more with him than Benzema, who is the ballon d'or winner….they're just so deep, even with all the players they lost to injuries. They could make a world cup worthy squad with their injured players. I do think they break the world champion curse, but I want to see how they do against Denmark before making any real calls on their chances this world cup. Australia is just not a very good team to be making any kind of calls from this 4-1 win.
The Tunisia Denmark result has me more fearful of Tunisia than I was before! I’ve stupidly underestimated them. Oh well, we are just here for the vibes. I say we go Saudi style and just high press/attack and try to get some goals. Scoring in the World Cup gives a feeling like nothing else for us minnow nations 💚💛
