      He’s not going to regularly start. Had a great career at Liverpool. Will always be appreciated by the Liverpool fans for his service. Twilight of his career. Never going to get the money anywhere else in the world, other than Saudi Arabia. Morally, with the human right issues in Saudi Arabia, I’m afraid money talks.

      literally spent 12 years at liverpool, won every trophy and at age of 33 knowing liverpool are reshaping the "ageing" team he knows his time/playing time is almost up.. why not go to saudi for your remaining few years and make 700,000 a week.. thats smart investment towards your retirement from football.. guys deserves it, has been a great captain for us on and off the pitch and wish him the best.       shocking tbh. but when I think about it, I think it makes sense for the club. We just need a total refresh. We would've just been stuck trying to offload him later when his value would've been lower, I think this way is best. The club has lacked a certain ruthlessness at times but this is a good move. It's really a shame to go out so unceremoniously though

      I think it’s sad that a player who has won everything and become a legend has had his head turned by a middle of the table third rate club playing in a non league. He is as responsible as the rest of the squad for us being in the Europa league and should have stayed one more season to get us back into the Champions league. The timing stinks, right at the beginning of a new season and the difficulties of signing new players. I hope this new ‘club’ is everything he hopes it will be.
