Hi Tom! In keeping with Rodegaard, the microphone isn't doing that bad…can't play 90+ minutes every game…has to be subbed at some point…but, as our captain, we love and value him more anyway 😜‼🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Tom i usually like your opinions but Tomiyasu and Castagne will be good options?? no way! Tomi isn't good going forward. He is a centre back. Can do a job defensively at Full back against good teams. As for Castagne, we need a RB who can challenge White at RB maybe even better than him as his levels dropped near the end of the season and hasn't got the energy to last full game at full back plus didn't do so well against some wingers like Rashford etc. We need someone energetic and dynamic and Castagne is opposite to that. Leicester fans are happy do get rid of him isn't that alarming??? I really hope they we ain't getting him or else ill be devastated. I'd rather get Simikan, Dumfries, Frimpong or someone.
If that was pep's actual quote, then he is being cheeky, so all those titles won with defenders who couldn't "defend" means what now.
Also with his "defensive" defenders city limped over the finsih line in the champions league final, it's a shame a more clinical team wasnt in the final.
Okay
People chatting to tom about praising castagne should remember Andy robertson was bought from Hull for 10m.
I like Castagne and it makes sense
Incredible work Tom, thankyou!
Villa have interest in Szoboszlai.

Arsenal linked to lingard
Tom – i hope he can restart his career at arsenal
(Bro are u a PR AGENT for arsenal?)
You hyping up every bang avg player….
Tomi is not a good option, he’s made of glass. Can’t be a good option when you’re injured all the time. If he gets another long term injury next season we have to bin him.
Palinha is 5 months older than Castange (both 27) so how can you say that Palinha isn’t within the age profile that we should be looking at but Castange is? He played in a team that lost 22 games, conceded 68 goals and got relegated. Is this the type of player that helps us compete with City and in CL? You keep saying we have to bring in competition, no back ups. Is Castagne seriously a profile that pushes any of our first team players? The narrative has always been that we can’t attract elite footballers because we weren’t in CL and now we’re seeing this bs. No thank you! Gearing up to bring in one, maybe two players that can walk into our first team and a few squad fillers.
You say that the money we didn’t spend in Jan ‘will of course roll over into this window’ but that didn’t happen last summer when we spent £115m and nothing in the Jan before that when we were willing to pay £70m for Vlahovic. Based on what you’re saying, we only had £45m to spend last summer? No reason to think that money will be available this window.
4 year contracts don’t give Arsenal control, they give the player and his camp control. Arsenal refused to insert a release clause in Saka’s contact so they had to settle for a year less. Saka and Saliba are two of the most sought after talents in world football and they know, based on the past, how pathetically Arsenal operate so they’re protecting themselves with shorter contracts. Shorter contract = exit strategy. It’s not like the club are protecting themselves because they don’t believe they’re good enough (like Reiss turning down a short term deal). If we don’t start winning trophies and competing properly in CL, Saka and Saliba are leaving in the next two years.
I know we don’t have to play like city to beat city. However, having stones pushing in as the extra man doesn’t leave you as exposed in wide areas like it does with having a full back doing the same. To me, Pep has upgraded and improved the formation with all the best bits of a full back inverting without the vulnerabilities.
Rice ,caecido, musa diaby, and osimehin in place of jesus …jeaus is not puting enough fear in defenders this is my dream signing
For arsenal
I like for the technical issues is well worth it 😂
Funny thing about 3 seasons ago i was screaming for Arsenal to sign Castagne and Trossard 🤦♂
Tom I love your take on a lot of things but disagree on Timothy Castagne mate but you are wrong here . He is a definite downgrade for us and unless he is Lazarus I don’t see his career being brought back to life. I hope the news is mere speculation. Of all the assets to pick from the Leicester team, it is so typical for our Arsenal to go for the crocked out of form defender.
They’ll spend more than most think they will, I feel. KSE are knocking on the door of winning another championship. They’re going to want to spend on Arsenal to push them over the line.
I'm not sold on Castagne but I was so wrong about Jorginho because of this I stay quiet, wait and look what happens.
Howdy partner!!!
I think Arsenal need to really overhaul a lot to catch up to City next season. There is a lot of work to be done on Edu's side. This is the key off season for Edu. Needs to put in the work. I do feel Arsenal over achieve last season if we are being realistic. With this current same squad, they won't win the title next season and are still a roster fighting for a top 4 but can still make it out of the top 4 due to injuries. Not a bad start with rumors that they are already have signed William Saliba for an extension, rumors of them reaching a deal with Declan Rice. So far, Edu has brought in bodies for next season but a lot of work to be done. Getting rid of players and bringing in more reinforcements. All other clubs will be better next season.
59F here at 10:00 this morning in the Bay Area Tom. Suffer you Brits! 😅😂🤣
Arsenal can only afford players who are affordable, unlike Man City, who have ambitions to win. Arsenal have already set the initial plan but it can change so that they don't recruit their main target players, but there are many alternatives. Every season is like that. Has no ambition of winning. It's as if rumors going around always make Arsenal fans disappointed… That's how I've felt so far as an Arsenal fan
Don't imagine too much and expect expensive players to be disappointed because Arsenal always only hurt the hearts of Arsenal fans and already expect their target players to join Arsenal. I'm afraid something like that will happen again this season. I'm not sure that D.Rice will wear the Arsenal costume but Man City will get it. Arsenal are like that from year to year and have no strength to be able to compete with Man City because of mere issues.
Don't just rumour… If you have confirmed that D. Rise and M. Caicedo are the main targets… why not bring them directly to Arsenal…???? Max Allister, without further ado, has officially joined Liverpool… Meanwhile, last week D. Rise and M. Caicedo have agreed, but what about the reality? Is this for real or just a joke…??? Should be a question mark???
I hope we just stick to either Boey or Fresneda. Both exciting young full backs with bags of potential and will eventually push White for the position. Tomiyasu is still a solid back up and he’s flexible in terms of being able to play RB, LB & CB.
