The USMNT just defeated Trinidad & Tobago 6 to zero to advance to the Gold Cup Quarter Final, but what did we learn?

Sargent is overrated. He's like aaronsen. Lots of trying, not any finishing. He's barely a Championship level player. And let's be clear he had his time in England and didn't deliver on the highest stage either so he's not at some untouchable level. I'd agree that i'd like to see Jesus go to a decent situation in. good league but not just any team. We've seen from Pepi merely being in Europe doesn't equate to a positive situation for growth.
That CONCACRAP is CRAP!!🤣😂🤣😂🤡🤡🤡🤡💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
Hello from Ketchikan, AK. Just get cell service to watch your 7 reasons vid. Agree 100% on Jesus and Christian. Jesus plays/played well against weak opponents. But, with GGG back in charge both will continue to get opportunities. Greg is not smart enough to leave them both behind. I am anxious to see how Gaga does once he earns his spot on the 1st team. List my opinion, but he should be the third keeper now on the 1st team. He seems to be doing well with the Chelsea U21/23 (whatever they are).
If Jesus does ANYTHING in the knockout rounds, he has to stay in consideration for the A squad. If he disappears for the rest of the tournament, then that changes. I will agree with what Hercules Gomez said though in that Jesus is probably not a number nine. He's more of a 10 or an inside winger. It would be better for the USMNT if he made a move to Europe, but sadly I'm not sure that move is best for Ferreira or MLS financially.
#7 Busio has got to go! Goal or not he has no game and is tossed like a doll by inferior players.
I was at the games and my seventh lesson is that American fans are embarrassing. The Honduras fans from the second game were much louder despite having maybe 2/3 of the total attendance that the US game had.
The Trinidad team should not have been there first to begin because all the Players and the Coach has Zero experience in Playing.. they were not fit nor were they ready for any International game..
That was payback for knocking us out the World Cup.
Gressel should be considered for a start on the right. We don't have many good options for wide forward.
Lesson 7: I learned that this C team is good enough to win the Gold Cup!
The only bright spot was in the CBs for me , but he still needs a couple of years before playing next to Richards. Also the LB didn't look to bad
I think Neal has been our best player this tournament. Composure, penetrating passes, awareness, making the defensive plays required. He should be fine in knockout rounds, also.
Of course the opponents matter, but its the same type of opponents that all US strikers play against. Can argue the level of competition all you want, but some of Jesus goals were really good with great touches and finishes. Im not saying he is A team material yet (would be if no Balegun), but he gets way too much hate. These are the same type of teams that all US strikers get to play against all the time and not many have done what Jesus is doing at the moment. Perhaps this os his level, which is fine. I just dont get the hate and dont understand why some people cant even acknowledge when he plays well. Heck, so many in this fanbase praises BJ for winning easy games but will blame Gregg if BJ ties Jamaica.
I learned that Trinidad should have never kept us out of the world cup
What does Jesus need to do? He needs to move away from Dallas. He needs to go to Europe to a league like the Erdivise, Portugal, or one of the mid table teams in Italy, France or Germany that are not going to fight for relegation. He has to prove himself against better competition and fight for a spot against players like Haji Write, Pefok, Dike and Sergent. On the flip side, he could also be fighting for a backup spot as the #10 behind Reyna IF (and this is a massive if) GGG ever gets his head out of his arse and changes the formation. HOWEVER, he is not going to be a starter for the A/B team. A backup / useful sub…sure. But he has to earn it.
Practice. Practice. Trinidad does not invest enough in sports. We'll always be defeated. Anyway maybe one day they'll wake up and smell the coffee. Practice Practice take it seriously
Love this show
Balogun #1
Pepi #2
Sargent #3 (Remember, Head-to-Head Jesus was Bench behind Sargent at WC22
Haji #4 (The Guy SCORED A GOAL FOR THE USA IN A WORLD CUP.!!!)(Everyone in USA Fandom/Coaches Looking for a Goal Scorers at The World Cup Level… Excuse me… But WE HAVE ONE.!!!)
#5 Dike (If he can Ever Get Healthy Enough)
#6 Pefok… Starting to Struggle here
#7 Vazquez … Does anyone Doubt that Vazquez would have Scored the Same 6 Goals that "Pirate of The Caribbean" Did Score.???
Ggg and Staff and Building Up Jesus… Not because they see him as Long Term Solution to the #9 Position, BUT they have to Justify,,,
WHY THEY LEFT PEPI OFF THE WC22 ROSTER.!!!
#8 Jesus
As a Player, Jesus has Many GOOD Qualities…
He has a Good, Clean Technical Level.
Tactically, he does a Good Job of getting into the Correct Positions to Support the Build-Up.
Links Up well with his Teammates.
Defensively, he is Good on the GegenPress.
He has Good Speed and Quickness "Off the Mark"
He Actually showed Many of these Characteristics in the 1st Round
Jesus Problem IS… He can't Break thru to the Goal on his Own, Hence his use as a False #9… He's a Bit of a "Light Weight"(Like bAaronson)
And then the Bigger Problem… You have to Change your Formation and "A True #9" must SIT for him to play…
Could he Play as a Right Wing or as a #10.???(Who is the Right Wing after Weah,,, Zendejas Sucking it Up)
He is Unfortunately, Like Sands, an "In-Betweener" that doesn't really fit into this Team/System/Century…(Busio/Mahailovic would be others in this Situation)
I want to see Cowell on the Left, Ferreira on the Right and Vazquez as the striker. I agree that Cowell should be a super sub in an ideal world, but we don’t have any decent wingers in this roster haha
Neal and Reynolds both need to start the QF SF and F. Nuff said.
Just remember that Cowell is still just 19 and there's no reason to think that today's Cade is tomorrow's. He has one of the biggest upsides in the entire program ATM. I could absolutely see him starting in 2026, so let's give him the leeway to develop between now and then.
I was at this game and it was a fun experience.
You really think BOTH USMNT and Mexico go through?!?! NO WAY BOTH DO – Mayyyybe one – the teams they face this time around are actually far above advertised…and btwwww – there's noooo way that by losing to Qatar Mexico became the default favorite UNLESS THE FIX IS IN – which it very well could be – CONCACAF NEED MEXICO in order to be successful but that doesn't mean they won't need extra time to get there – they were by NO MEANS impressive vs Costa Rica!
