      I’m sad that Xhaka’s leaving, but wish him all the best. The dressing room will definitely miss him too, but I reckon we have got that in Rice who will replace Xhaka’s leadership contribution to the team

      I know he would have obliviously loved to win the PL but at least during his time at Arsenal we managed to win a few community shields and FA cups💪

      The comments show that this fanbase are too sentimental. 1 good season out of 7, and the fans are saying he should stay, it's ridiculous. I like xhaka, but it's the right time for him to go, and the fact we are getting 25mil euros despite him having 1 year left on his contact, and being 30 y/o, is a great bit of business. All the best Granit 👏💯.

      Xhaka leaving really hurts ,it reminds me of the Movie "Once upon a time in the West"
      Where after delivering the town of Sweet waters,Charles Bronson decides to leave and Claudia Cardinale tells him "I hope you come back some day" Charles replies "some day" and rides off….I hope Xhaka comes back some day!
      His choke on Jack Grealish when we lost to city was his final ruthless act that reminded opposition that even if the game is lost you cannot mess with my players!

      Its got to be a contract issue. At 30, Leverkusen must have offered him more money considering its a 5 year deal. Arsenal must have offered him a 2 year deal or something. I can't understand after so many years without UCL, why he would leave Arsenal right now.

      Because he ended his season on a high, more fans will remember him for that. They have forgiven him swearing at the fans and throwing the armband. Fantastic job turning things around but he was an ok player. Probably not even in Arsenal's top 10 central midfielders. Good luck to him.

      Funny seeing these love letters some you guys are typing on social media for a guy who was bang average for 5 seasons😂 One good season doesn’t undo the 5 years of crap he done. Thanks for the one good season but it’s time we do better. Best for both parties

      I liked Xhaka, but he was a liabilty and you never knew when he would let the team down with his next episode or tantrum. For Arsenal to be 'contenders' they really needed someone better and more reliable.

      Glad to see him go. Any fan that says otherwise either just starting watching last season or caught up in their feels. Club did fantastic business to get that fee for the player.
