    Nottingham Forest Open To Selling Johnson? Potential FFP Problem! Back in Training! | Transfer News



    Nottingham Forest’s #nffc star man Brennan Johnson is again the topic of conversation today, as rumours are suggesting that Forest are “open to selling” the Welsh international in order to balance the books and stay inline with FFP rules.
    #astonvilla and #brentford are both still keen in Johnson, and with the latter having already had a £30 million bid rejected this summer transfer window, it is expected that both will table increased bids in the next few weeks to test the resolve of Forest owner Marinakis. Let us know if you would be satisfied with a £50 million fee for Brennan Johnson.
    Pre season training has officially begin, with all the players back training this week some with new hair styles!       What happened to the contest you had in about March when you asked us to predict how many points Forest would finish the season on? This competition doesn't seem to have been mentioned since? Predictions were submitted onto a community post but I can't find that post. I think I may have guessed correctly.

      I'm getting pretty frustrated about the lack of any transfer activity from Forest this summer so far. Nothing in or out! Am I being premature? We need to sign about six players and sell about ten players. Cook, Surridge, Layrea, etc etc need to go.

      Re: JOHNSON. It makes better business sense to keep JOHNSON for at least another season before selling him cos his value should increase a lot. He signed a new contract last summer; he has another three seasons still left on his current contract.

      If we sell him I want 60 up front and 10 or so in very easy to achieve add ons… like… he runs quicker than a left back… 5mill… he shoots an invisible arrow into the crowd after scoring 10mill.

      A year can change alot, im less concerned about Johnson going as i am Danilo and MGW. It would be alot of money for someone who was only coming on as an impact sub during our good run at season end.

      FFP,we could just move players around Mr Ms clubs,simple really,Johnno should stay one more season but if he is sold for 50m,lets just get on with it,remember we did great without him at the end of the season.

      If Forest have any sense of true progression as a club, they need to keep him for at least another season. I've no doubt that he will be more valuable come the end of next season whatever happens to Forest.

      FFP is a load of BS this is only our second season in premier League there's no way we in FFP..we selling johno because we wasted our money on Newcastle rejects who we can't get rid of..forest is a selling club always have , lack ambition to do well, forest missing being in the championship which is where we going selling our best player..joke of a club..🤡🎈

      I think DJ has been creating all this transfer crap. Sell him for 50+ he’s got a bad attitude and I think he’s peaked. Trade him for 3/4 proper footballers.

      Again, if Man city or Arsenal come to us with 60m+ for Johnno, that's fine. However, no one come out and deny the rumour is a problem.

      I'll make it obvious ,why spend 15 million on Wood then sell Johno makes no sense. If you're trying to build a team/squad for the future. It seems anyone who is talented at forest doesn't get a game or is up for sale, this is not the way to stay in the Premiership. And clinging onto Deadwood that should be moved on as soon as possible (Shelvey,Wood and others). Failure to do early decent transfers says to me and a lot of people I know of another relegation battle throughout next season. Surely you guys at FFTV can see this as well. So far i have seen no team strengthening or building a better squad

      I honestly think it’s less to do with FFP and more to do with the ex Rangers man’s MO

      Giraldi was super fast paced and perhaps overpaid (cared less about value and more about the “right” players)

      Wilson feels like he’s all about value vs their valuation (Johnno, as does every player, has his price in Ross’ mind)

      I think Johnno will be sold – sadly 😢

      What’s happening with Everton on the subject of FPL
      Selling Johnson shows a real lack of ambition, transfer window is of concern, Arsenal links to Rice (over 100m for one player – speculation ) etc just shows the GULF between us and other established Clubs.

      I’m not sure where you get your information but I think most of it is agent & NEP chatter. I’m certain if Forest don’t need to sell Johnson they won’t but, to be fair, you know no more than us. Conjecture doesn’t help.

      re: the latest official training video out on the field… NOT present: Freuler, Niakhate, Aurier, Scarpa, Awoniyi, Kouyate, Felipe, Cook. What should be read into that? Are some African players away on international duty? Freuler, Niakhate, Aurier, Awoniyi and Kouyate weren't on the previous day's first day back video either. (Plus O'Brien and Layrea were absent too but that's cos they've been on loan in USA.)
      (Note: Wood, Shelvey, Mighten, Bowler, Panzo, Korean striker, etc, etc. were all there.)

      £60m in the bank and we have to be realistic that any bottom half Prem team has to take that and rebuild.
      Funds Hendo, Adams and a £20m Brazilian striker and as sad as it is to see 'one of our own' leave, it likely makes us stronger overall – then whatever we get back for real deadwood helps meet FFP without weakening us much (Shelvey, Wood, Dennis, Freuler)
