Good victory. The officials really tried to give Cuba anything they could, so not really any point being negative about the two conceded penalties.
These onesoccer highlights show the Cuban side as having 3 different logos at the same time. One in the thumbnail, another in the line-up graphic and the third on their kits. Wild stuff.
Yeah Canada had to beat Cuba and they did beating them 4-2 but Guatemala wins the group; Canada finishes runner up but at best Canada is going out in the quarter final round anyway.
As a long-time Canadian soccer fan, that first Cuban goal pisses me off so bad. It's all too typical of Canada, it happens way too often, and it needs to stop. Random, needless giveaway that doesn't need to happen for any reason. It will be forgotten because it's against a game we win 4-2 in a tournament we've decided isn't all that important. But these moments are literally part of the fabric and identity of this team, and we need to start emphasizing and punishing them as unforgivable, no matter when they happen, so that they stop happening; in tournaments unimportant or otherwise.
