Aaron Ramsey is to leave Arsenal after 11 seasons with the club. A central cog in the Gunners’ midfield, he blends technical ability with physicality, a strong pressing and tackling game, and has weighed in with goals. So why are Arsenal letting him go?

  1. absolute shite, plays well occasionally and in big games, but generally not worth being on the pitch. most of the best games this season have been without him. no one would be mad if he wasnt going on a free, which clearly has nothing to do with todays management, was left over form the wenger / gazidis era. Get someone quicker in, that can get on that press earlier and we wont need that box to box engine that he is.

  2. A few weeks ago I was upset but wasn’t too fussed, but after a few unbelievable performance from him I’m absolutely gutted, it’s an absolute shame he is a phenomenal b2b CM, but I do believe he had chosen to move because of the money, he always said he wanted to play abroad and 350+ a week ain’t too shabby

  3. well i agree but from what i see……the 4231 has worked without Ramsey and has more emphasis on granit xhaka and torreira and well its okay he goes maybe franckie kessier would be an ideal replacement

  4. Not happy, Rambo isnt happy about leaving but like they mentioned DESERVES those wages.

Juve wont win the CL this year, but hopefully the next with Ramsey.

  5. Lets not get over the moon with Ramsey. He's been outstanding in last few months, but since 12/13 season he'd been so inconsistent. He's 100% replaceable.

  6. They should bring in Ziyech and some other creative runner midfilder.
Kroenke should buy giant talent defender De Ligt, he is fit, the omly who could stop the long defending curse imidiatly and he is also a big known name for the marketing!

  7. have you all see how inefficient our top strikers are atm especially away games without ramsey. We need someone who can transition from defence to attack as well or even better than aaron ramsey because that really helps arsenal both defensively and offensively. and no arsenal player can do tht atm besides maybe AMN or mkhitaryan who are both playing so poorly recently.

  8. Given his recent form I think Van De Beek from Ajax would be a perfect replacement. He started as a DM so he can be a true box to box. What do you think?

  9. They never appreciated him and it was obvious they'd pinned their hopes on Wilshere instead. Ramsey should have been in their first 11 all the time, but he was treated more like a squad player.

  10. Maybe Ramsey is not the best Midfield player but he is so Versatile for central positions and can fit in pretty much any team, the man is a flipping machine, big mistake from arsenal to let him go

  11. I would give Joe Willock a Chance this season. When he came on in the EL-final he was the most dangerous player in our team

  12. Basically, he's their only all rounder. And as of yet no replacement has been signed…. I mean now I think of it I can't even think of a player like Ramsey who isn't at least 35. Or way too expensive. Maybe Westwood at Burnley? It's a long shot. Shouldn't really have let him go, everyone else at Arsenal bar Holding and Aubameyang who ofc don't play in the same position is too inconsistent.

  13. A lot of work went into that £50 note. The new plastic one is due out in 2021 with the legend Turing on it. I believe the first (known) gay person to appear on British currency. (I wonder have there been any know gay people on any other major country currency?)

  14. Of course it is a mistake but ever since Eduardo broke his leg Arsenal have never been the same. They have never been able to bring it all together. One of the problems in my estimation is that they get too many sensitive artist midfielders. They don’t have any good brusiers. Or a striker that scores ruthlessly. It’s nice to win in style but to win the prem you probably have to win a game or two in a ugly way. I mean just look at this most recent loss. Pepe amazing as he is blasted it over the bar. Also why did they buy him! They needed a defender or something like that. I’m gonna wait and see if Emerys new style can make it work but I’m feeling skeptical.

  15. Lol what a waste of time putting this together. Juve now stuck paying Ramsey crazy wages and he can’t even get on the pitch half the time

  16. Well I guess everyone knew beforehand that letting Ramsey go (or Ramsey did want to leave I think?) is a mistake, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out – and that Arsenal's business with players has been really terrible for the most part in recent times.
