Unique fan base or a deluded bunch of divs?
You seem far too bright and optimistic in this video, Gonzo. We’re losing the major glue in our side in Declan Rice. Who cares if we pocket 100 mil. How are we going to better the team without the player who literally took us by the scruff of the neck past the finishing post to stay in the Premier League. Whoever the Director of Football is, David Moyes is too stubborn and controlling to take notice and play any of this guy’s selections, if he feels, and he will, he doesn’t want them in his team. He’s not the type of Manager who will take kindly to that at all. Unless we get lucky with transfers I can see us struggling badly without the leadership qualities of Declan Rice. If we lose any other top players, we’re going in only one direction, and that’s seriously backwards. We’re supposed to be flying having won the Europa Conference, and go again next Season in the Europa Cup. Has anyone told the Club, why would anyone want to leave? Ah yes, of course, David Moyes is still West Ham’s Manager…… 🙈
Better than last seasons home kit and I love the hoopy socks. If only our away kit was the 60's sky blue with claret hoops
Kit looks like a claret photo of the surface of the moon
Why in the world would we want Zakaria? He hasn’t worked out at Gladbach, Juve or Chelsea? Why do we have the magic potion to make him a player?
As for our transfer war chest, I hope we don’t let Moyes anywhere near it. He’s a lame duck, and if we stumble first few months you know he’ll be on the chopping block
Napoli spent 75m euro on victor osimhen. If they wanted Zaha they would have got Wilfred Zaha
We have a great player premier experience international player… super 🌟 called Elneny we just want a bag a chips
Penny pinching for Denis Zaharia, pay the money. Juve should be charging you lot £20m minimum
Sobering and depressing thoughts Gonzo and not even a month after winning a trophy.Likely Arsenal will pull our pants down over Rive deal,Ref 5 years to pay.Rumours about a number of outgoings arguably our best/better players, scattergun rumours about the 80 odd players we are interested in,DOF dragging on?Really importantly Sullivan not selling no interest in selling,Moyes our manager for season ahead, wouldn’t surprise me if grubby Sullivan extends his contract to wind us all up too.
white shorts were a must…well disappointed
Tim Steidten may start officially on Friday but I am sure he has players already checked out and will be bidding immediately on selected players COYI ⚒⚒⚒
I think we're in for a shocking season.
There's a theory that selling a star player for big money gives you a war chest to rebuild. But has that ever worked? We sold Rio and blew the cash on journeymen. (Titi Camara!) Tottenham blew the Bale money on Bentaleb, Lamela and a bunch of other misfits. Can anyone think of a single example of when it's actually worked out? Genuinely curious.
I like Palhinha but £50m? Zakaria would be way better value
I much prefer white shorts.
How do you reconcile the fact Moyes has control over transfers (in his contract) and Steidten going out and acquiring new signings? Unless of course it is another way to get Moyes to resign with no payout.
After watching the whole video, it seems to me your advocating we spend the money on cheap foreign imports with no premier league experience. A sure fire route to the Championship.
Big assumption that the full 100m is available to go shopping.
I am sad we lost declan, but not angry he wanted to move on, good luck to him. could see his frustration playing for us, by the shaking of his head when things were looking bad, but like a true profesional he stuck to the task, and we avoided relegation, and won a european competition.
Now off the pitch, my admiration grows further, he moved on despite the safety of his existing teams homely comforts, he showed courage to move on, unlike kane at spuds, im sure he will go on to captain arsenal and england, good luck decs, and thanks.
Amazing ,ffs moyes and sullivan are still there= same again . Poor old tim.
Clowns still running the circus.
Whatever happened to Max Aarons? 40 million player wanted by Bayern Munich once upon a time.
Those shorts ffs
I clicked for Pat ❤
It was
Another year, another shocking kit from Umbro 🫠 please westham when are we going back to Adidas or signing with Nike?
100 mill is nothing once weve replaced rice probably left wiv 50 mill. wheres the rest of the money. we need to spend double that.
Rice rice baby goner b a gunner 😂
Paq wont be going anywhere imo as for gettin transfers right, not with moyes dithering ,should have players thru the door asap to get them set up for prem football
I have a feeling Tims picks may need "bedding in" time😉😂
Just watched highlights of Alex Scott. Sign him now please…our Declan Rice replacement is here!
If it was up to me, I'd offer Dec the same that Arse are offering plus the money he didn't get before spread over 5 years. Try to turn his head back towards us.
I'm not seeing a lot of progress likely in the next year or two, but not because of management in particular, but the FFP regulations at UEFA. The bigger clubs are earning large sums already, bolstered by their constant European appearances. They don't have to offer more money for a player than we do, they only have to offer it more quickly – because of FFP the sums are being broken down to 5 year terms, which creates a serious lack of cashflow/liquidity for clubs trying desperately to improve playing squads to cope with Thursday/Sunday schedules. IN other words, we simply don't have enough 'per year' budget to assure ourselves we can stay inside the FFP regulations even though we will get £100m for Rice. It's 20m per year, when we are already that much and (potentially more) over the maximum rolling deficit total allowed if the sums I'm hearing are correct. (£80m I think over the last three now that Covid allowances are over, €60m Euros is allowed).
As a Juve fan I don’t want to see Zak leave but he’d be a bargain for a massive club like West Ham if you can keep him fit
