I get wanting a manager that tries. But expecting to be a contender to win it is a bit much. I think for the US' level, a round of 16 finish is completely acceptable performance-wise. Getting more is a great achievement but you can't demand that. Your star player is an injury prone bench warmer for chelsea, crudely said.

We only scored 3 goals in the world cup. Not four. We did not score twice vs Iran.
Not once has this bum led the team to be more that the sum of its parts. He could literally be replaced with and improved by an AI coach. The team seems to perform better with literally anyone else.
The woke USSF won’t overspend for a high profile manager because it would upset the women’s program.
Berhalter manages the US team like he is the cult leader.
I just dont understand the thinking of. Bringing berhalter back!! These players are beyond anything he has done!! Part of mgrs job is to teach these players but what can he really teach them?? Look at some of the coaches these players have played under? The way they played at Nations League was so different without berhalter!! Look how Reyna played!!! He didnt even play him much at WC.
We have attracted european coaches and Zidane will only coach French national team. Wont even go to top team outside of france!!
The talent we have now has attracted Thierry Henri and patrick viera to name 2 so we do have talented coaches out there!! No reason to bring dippy back who puts players in wrong positions n wrong style!! No success for him!! Gold cup title isnt the goal for us!! Getting to the semis would have been successful!! I have many years of playing including playing with mia hamm so i know more than most!! We will not get far with him!! Seen this many times!! Some of Berhalter's buddies from his old USMNT days pulled string to get him the job back. That can be the only explanation i can think of.

i like kilnsmann, but he never should have left donovan off the roster at the WC. gregg did the same thing by benching reyna (and pepi). these coaches, whoever they are need to understand that we are not here to serve them and their needs. they are here to serve us, our nation and our team. i think BJ understands that.
