I would take JWP at a heart beat, he is one of the best set piece specialist in the prem. No brainer
If Fofana is truly available at 30m and we're not actively pursuing him before someone else grabs him, it's just absurd!
No point in getting JWP in cos Moyes will just play him in goal anyway!
The irony is that if you bring in JWP, you'd see him as a replacement for Soucek, but Soucek is the player you'd want on the end of JWP's set pieces.
exactly the type of player we want – JWP would be a superb addition.

For the love of all things decent I beg we stay away from JWP, he is a very poor alternative. Saints fans down here have battered him and mates of mine who are STHs don’t rate him highly at all. If he’s the best we can get then prepare for another horrendous season. We need players who drive us forward through midfield and players who are tenacious and tough tacklers not some lightweight like prowse. I’d far rather see downes in the middle of the park for us

Aren’t using a scattergun strategy Russ,being almost interested anybody with a pulse and that has worn a football kit.I’d be happier if we the board were a little bit quieter over who they want but keep a lid on it,just my opinion.
Seems a lot of our targets prices have been set.. So ultimately, we have around what I assume to be around 50 million and Declan Rice or around 150 million to spend. If this is true, the answers are in black and white. No excuses.

Adams does fill part of the Rice hole in that he is a big presence in the dressing room and an excellent citizen which is an intangible in the value of Rice that doesn’t get enough mention
He is Literally the perfect fit for WH. His loyalty to club rating is 98-100, he teaches as he goes & last but by no means least, he's the best dead ball specialist since Beckham. Imo he has the ability, with a decent team around him, to Surpass Beckham's record's.
I think we should go for fofana at lens ,or would this be a bridge to far.
Fofana is a good purchase for us. Don't care to much for JWP because of Moyse manager.
