Man!! England fans really are clueless about football. It's kind of like Everton or Aston Villa or mid-table teams saying their managers should be sacked because they haven't won the league.
Drop Harry Kane…He is the best Finisher England have, but is one of our worst Forward players. Adds nothing to a team, if anything his positioning takes away from the team. We always look more threatening when he comes of the field

If England won something and won every game by multiple goals, I honestly believe there are some England fans who would still find something to be miserable about.
Lets be honest if Southgate left the job, what Premier league club would be after him as their next manager, the FA wanted a safe pair of hands after the Sam Allardyce fiasco, he's a safe pair of hands alright, but a bland clueless manager, if he was playing the worst team in the world he would still play with the handbrake on, lots of sideways passing then back to Pickford then another slow steady build up, if they get the lead then rather than get another goal they'll sit on the lead and try and defend, no taking chances and attacking dominating the opposition and being good to watch, im in no doubt that if Southgate was Man City manager they would be lucky to be in the top half of the table.

It's true England go 3-0 up in these games and then they play the most boring football, sideways, backwards, sideways, I was falling asleep watching it and I know it's Malta but the same thing happens in big games too against Italy at euro 2020, first 22 mins brilliant, remaining 98+mins so boring. We need a more adventurous and bold manager who plays to our attacking strengths.

We go in defence mode in 2nd half passing sideways and back,u cant do that against the very best gotta be ruthless,appoint that type of minded manager,but keep off eddie howe,cheers boys 🥃

Might be biased but i think willock burn & pope should be in the team.
I've given up complaining about Southgate, in another life the fixtures wouldn't have been so favourable the last 5 years, the flaws in his mangerial style would have been well and truly highlighted and he'd be fired by now. Unfortunately that's not the reality we live in.

I do agree with the caller, southgate should have gone after the World Cup-he’s had enough chances, it was time to let someone else try. But we are where we are, why did he start trippier, and Henderson, isn’t it time to look forwards? Those guys have had their time and a game against the weakest team in the group was a chance to try callum woods and other squad players. Southgate has too many favourites and is far too inflexible..
Southgate, a perfect match for the job. Beats smaller teams comfortably yet unconvincingly and bottles the game against top tiers. A perfect recipe for migraine.

talk about disjointed. "This game was boring" "what could've Gareth done?" "he could've played a different Goalkeeper!". Not sure how that would've made it more entertaining. But basically his point is that he should've given someone a chance outside the normal starting 11, so naturally the next player you single out is Maddison (Literally a player he is given a chance to, who isn't in the normal starting 11). "The Bryan" more like "the Donald" speak first let your brain try and catch up later. Chump.
Southgate has the best pool of talent and best squad depth of any England manager and is wasting it.
