      Might not have a choice. Could buy out his remaining contract but I don’t know the rules in the sense of do Chelsea have to agree to that, cos technically he’d still be under contract

      As a Chelsea fan, I don't mind Mount leaves. Havertz is a much better player.
      55 is good deal. Mount is not worth over 40, he is British so 55 to 60.

      If Mount is so amazing, so talented and so coveted, why is it becoming such a drama to sell him? By modern standards the fee Chelsea are asking is not even big. Also, be careful when talking about what a player 'deserves'. Sure, Mount is on a cheap contract (comparatively) at the moment, but that's only because it's the one he signed when he was still like 19 years old. Chelsea were the club that took the chance on him, that gave him the game time and allowed him to establish himself. We still don't actually know how much he's asking and he's had the last 18 months to really prove what he's worth. Unfortunately for him and everyone, his form went to poop at the very time he needed to go up a gear.

      As a Chelsea fan I disagree with everything you mugs said. State the facts man! He was offered a few contracts by 2 different owners. Mount is not Chelsea. He isn’t that good actually, despite what that mug says

      Yeah, Mount is the lowest paid player in the squad. Lets just act like Chelsea haven't been in negotiations with him over the last 2 years. Lets pretend that the new owners didnt enter negotiations with Reece and Mount as the same time and they didnt offer him a 200k salary a week contract. That wage would of put him in line with the highest paid players at Chelsea in line with the new owners wage structure. If all well and good if we just pretend that Mount doesnt just want out over money. He wants a transfer and the signing on bonus that comes with it. Furthermore, I have no doubt that the new owners left the 200k contract on the table until Feb this year, after Mase had rejected it. However, also believe they yanked it away from him as soon as they could when they realised that his numbers didnt justify such a salary. 3 goals and 2 assists in a whole season for a 2 time player in 35 games. Thats pathetic. Try all you want to make it about Mounts connection with the fans, but he has more of a connection with his ego. He refused 200k because Reece got 250k. There are so many No.10s out there that can do a better job than Mase did, but not many Rights backs in world football with the quality of Reece James, that why he got that. Also, a player that is emotional cries when he feels like hes been forces out, and you could see he was trying to force a tear and couldnt. Yes, he was a bit sad to be leaving the club hes been with since the age of 8 but thats like anyone who leaves for another job. Mount wants out, United just need to find a good middle ground, like 54m plus 6m in add ons. Makes everyone look good.
