Rabiot and Casemiro against big teams. Casemiro and Enzo Le-fee/ possibly Mount, against smaller teams. That’s should be our setup next season.
We are going to have to sign him. We can’t afford to spend big on a CM right now. Team forsure needs a striker and then a CB .. also needs to sort out its sales

Idk why people think he wouldn’t be a decent signing for us on a potential free. I understand the Caicedo argument but other clubs try and bend United over with transfer fees! He’s definitely a upgrade on Fred and McTominay and I’d argue he’s both of them combined as far as McTominay’s height and Freds tenacity in tackles. I don’t think anyone would be batting an eye had City or Madrid and Barca went and got him. City got Kovacic now and Rabiot said he wants to play in the PL so I’d say why not sign him!

while rabiot is more complete midfielder, alex scott shares similar attributes in midfield. a difference may lay in the fact that scott is a playmaker and rabiot is box to box with better defensive and attacking abilities. scott is however growing his defensive ability with good interceptions and tackles, an area which rabiot is already good at though with scott being 19 he is still young.
with similarities in their ball progression as dribbling and scott being an excellent passer, i believe scott would be a viable replacement for that aging man utd midfield. he would fit the profile since iqbal has also left for Utrecht. rabiot's sign on fee as well as wages may be equivalent to a whole package to acquire scott. it hence wouldnt affect man utd buget to get mount and scott swiftly and still have money for a good forward
