Davo reads a letter from a conflicted fan of Manchester United. Should he switch to Leeds United because of their American contingent of Jesse Marsch, Tyler Adams, and Brenden Aaronson?

  1. It’s weird right now for me as an American. Leeds was one of the first clubs from England I heard about. I don’t remember how…I was literally single digit child at that time, but the name stuck with me, and as a pre teen I remember learning more about Super Leeds…then following them cursively as I got older (I adore Damned United as a film). But, it has always been on the outside. 30 years of following the club, but never any real connection. Until now where there are 3 Americans at the club and one is my favorite American coach and the other are my two favorite natl. players. I know I should be over the moon, but I really just feel like this is a dream.

  2. I’m an Australian. Started following my beloved Leeds United in 2002, just as we started to nosedive down the Football League. Even then, I stuck loyal to my team that I grew an attraction to.

For 2 years without a home internet connection, all I could do is listen to little bits on BBC World Service/Sportsworld on my country Queensland community radio station, buy British Football Weekly newspapers and check results when I got to school on the Monday.

I will never, ever change to another team. I’m loyal and proud Leeds until the day I die. Even if we’re in West Yorkshire Division One North, I’d still be a proud White. MOT!

  3. I chose Man U as my team to follow due to Mourinho and I will always be a supporter but as an American I love what’s going on at Leeds 🇺🇸

  4. Arsenal fan but absolutely Leeds has a special place in my heart while Marsch Adams Aaronson are there plus there football has been must watch since bielsa

  5. If I was an American kid now I'd probably pick Leeds. When I was growing up Tim Howard was just cementing himself in Southall's old stomping grounds at Goodison.

I question myself daily on why I subject myself to being an Evertonian, but I'm stuck with them now.

    UTFT I guess.
I hate and love them so much

  6. Have never been able to generate a rooting interest in a team outside of my region. Seattle Sounders FC are my club. I'll watch Leeds and have watched plenty of Barcelona and Real Madrid, and Champions League matches, but it's all just entertainment. Not interested in the clubs at all if I can't visit the stadium and see matches in person.

  7. I wonder what it would take to convince Marsch, Adams, and Aaronson to drive around Leeds and to practice like that. Need to make that happen.

  8. I became a diehard (great movie) Liverpool fan in 2005 because of Crouch and Leiva. Followed Leeds in the Championship and became a big fan. Now Liverpool are feeling more like that ex who you really care about and want them to do well, but the connection just isn't there anymore.

  9. I'm not so much a bandwagon fan as a player fan. And no, I'm not limited to American players. I've followed Tammy Abraham since he left Chelsea. Ollie Giroud as well. Erling Haaland, although admittedly it's really hard to like him now because I loathe Manshitty 🤣
