Meunièr – at 31, best days are behind him and PL will be too fast – no thanks even at the fee touted. Drain on salary which is not what we need for FFP.
Tyler Adams- all day long and should get him in.
Chiesia – not the same player after his ACL injury. Before that he was brilliant but has not recaptured that form. Not convinced we even went for him especially for €60m….
Tyler Adams is one i'm cautious of but in fairness over the last few days the reported price has been dropping and if it's around 20 million instead of 35 I wouldn't be opposed to him and his work rate alone I think would win over villa park. My main thing is I think we could get the quality we need without spending crazy money by using the championship. The two players I have been screaming out for are Alex Scott from Bristol and George Hall from Birmingham. I think Scott would cost close to 25m. With Hall, Jobe Bellingham has gone to sunderland for 2m and Rich Fay has said Dortmund want Mejbri for 15m… Hall is a far better player right now and with more potential than those two and would cost us somewhere in the middle (8m?). For 35m there isn't a player on the market with the work rates, technical quality or ability to cover Ramsey in that Left(Attacking)Mid or Bailey in that Right Wing/Striker Support role, nevermind a pair of players.
Also if we are looking at an Italian Winger who is explosive, pacey, creative, threatening, young and an exciting prospect who would be bought in for quality but also as an investment… then his name is Gnonto.

If Aston Villa wastes 18M on Tyler Adams, then what is the point in having a youth system? Also, we have so many other attacking slots that need filling. Why should we debit 18M from our total budget to purchase a backup DMC? We currently have Dendonker and Kamara as specialist DMCs. Tim Iroegbunam is returning from the loan and should be part of the first team setup. I would do a hard pass on this one.
Gotta be honest the kit fallout isn’t a big issue for me , the players we get in are.
