  1. Gregg finished 3rd in CONCACAF qualifying by goal difference, coached us to 3 goals in 4 WC games, 1 of which just bounced off Haji’s back heel. I’ll miss the US scoring goals, sorry Pepi and Gio, I’ll miss swing you in Stars and Stripes…we’re back to Berhalter ball.

  2. Of course Berhalter had some of the best data compared to previous USMNT managers- he has the deepest squad with a lot of the most talented players in our history! It’s gutting to think of what a truly excellent manager could do with these players! It’s such a waste of talent.

  3. Is anyone excited about the decision to bring back Berhalter? He seems to be an honorable and likable dude, but I have yet to see any reactions that are genuinely excited to see Berhalter leading the USMNT through the next World Cup cycle. The decision to rehire Berhalter and the haphazard way it was announced seems par for the mediocre course that is US Soccer. Meh.

  4. lots of buzzwords in that US Soccer statement. I think my biggest question is: why now? What was to be gained by leaking this right before kickoff against Mexico? Why announce it in the middle of this "tournament"? Why after you already said BJ was in charge for this event and the Gold Cup? Very strange.

  5. i'm fine with it. no reason to think patrick vieira or jesse marsch would be better. see how gregg does, change if it gets worse. some of you need serious help.

  6. Lets schedule Japan for a friendly as soon as possible. Then ask me how the NEW GGG is doing. He going to need every PSYCHOLOGICAL skill in the book to take these guys to another level. If he does not, they all need to resign.

  7. Berhalter out! Matt Crocker out! Dan Flynn Out! I am no longer a usmnt supporter. I am officially only a liverpool supporter. I will no longer support the usa team. The federation is a disgrace in a bubble of nepotism and corruption. The boaard behind all the public people need to step down as well. I am out.

  8. I guarantee if everyone boycotted this hire n no one and i mean no one show up for any games they'd change coaches!!! My gosh we need a coach who has been in those top tier leagues like Viera or Henry who could really teach these young players!! Berhalter is beneath these top european players and players need to keep their opinions to themselves!! Ive never heard players do this!! If usmnt want better than getting slammed by the Dutch in rd of 16 then u better rethink it!! I guess we r back to calling up players like Morris instead of Pepi!!! Back to unethical behavior and lies by berhalter!! Glad u got your pick of coach Pulisic but u all have pissed tons n tons of fans!! U just go on n read the comments!! U might get pissed again bout fans coming to games but what if the stamds were empty!! $$ lost for USSF will be only way to change mgrs!!
Also if berhalter is so important why is he not going to be there for gold cup??? Something isnt right here!!! It stinks!!

  9. Berhalter DID create the turbulence after the WC.
MiB, if you truly love this team in spite of the federation, now is the time to stick out your neck.
This video is a little too 'professional'. I'm sorry you don't quite have the guts.
Lalas' opinion doesn't matter. Come on, man.

  10. So many things wrong with “the process” or lack thereof. I cannot stop feeling we the fans have been disrespected, looked down, overlooked and dismissed all throughout. I feel especially disappointed by Cindy Parlow, whose position demands her not only to represent the interests of the women’s game, put the perspective and challenges of women as athletes and persons. For her to declare that “yeah, we looked at what happened 30yrs ago and we are Ok w it” is freaking disrespectful to women, US Soccer and fans in general. Not because they should prosecute a personal issue 30yrs old, but because -an an organization that has demanded so much attention to women issues, you now say “old domestic violence when intoxicated, and the woman consents not to press charges, is Ok”. Greg did his job and we should be thankful to him. But now we need much more – and better. US Soccer has demonstrated it cannot get past its old entrenched way. A makeup of corporate spin changes nothing when the result brings you back to same old. I’ll cheer for the team every time, but this moment feels like a big loss and leaves us, passionate fans, empty and Confused for the future.

  11. It didnt take Gregg to get the team to WC 2022 and the Mexico win and lineup selection proved it…Gregg is prime reflection of a political choice of Crocker and MLS.

  12. The manager they used to find the coach was Gregg Berhalter, so it's not so hard to get Berhalter as standing out in being like Gregg Berhalter.

I also doubt they actually interviewed anyone else this time either.. Hopefully someday he will apologize to Gio for outing him post-World Cup. That is why you are wrong, Rog, that Gregg was only drawn into it.

  13. If Gregg learns from Hudson and BJ, then maybe it will work out OK. But Gregg's past intimates against this as he is stubborn and not always truthful. For instance, Gregg would have thought Canada dominated the US in the Nations League, just like he thought we dominated Canada in Halifax as we got easily beaten in WCQ.

  14. Gregg isn't the man to lead us into the future of US Soccer.
Every where I've looked no one is happy with this decision.
Clint is spot on, makes US soccer seem like a joke and we don't take it seriously.

  15. What USNMT accomplished in the past 4 years is in spite of Berhalter and not because of him. His player selection, rigid game strategy, playing people out of position, and favoring poor MLS players all suck. his re-selection is criminal.
