Full credit to that Brumbies defence but no one is giving the Chiefs credit for their defence. The Brumbies did not get a single line break. Not 1!
Stevenson has the same style of play with Jordan… Clarke is different and he's very physical which is what the ABs needed when play against the Northern teams and SA

A Bok supporter here: Super strong selections BUT the question remains: will they gel together? I really think Clarke had a great breakout season a few years back but his defence is not at an AB standard, imo. ALSO Webber is ahead of Christie. It's a hard balance – wanting to build depth and reward but to also go with time-tried-nd-tested players like Beauden…B. really at the end of a long career and it is showing. ABs will always be a force to reckon with. Super excited for RWC! Thanks for the Super Rugby Pacific comp. it is inspiring and offers so much to me as a coach of junior high school teams. Cheers! 👌
I hadn't watched much rugby this year But I'm glad the Crusaders are playing winning rugby. As the ol' saying goes, "When Canterbury rugby is strong, All Blacks rugby is strong." This is critical in RWC year especially.
Credit to the Chiefs for getting up there, on the back of a hungry Sam Cane, fighting for his place in the ABs. He's done well coming back from career ending setbacks for normal players.
My money's on the Crusaders to win only because it's the proven benchmark of All Blacks rugby for ever. Then again, the Chiefs have Sam Cane.
