Courage is about playing that pass, taking a player on: risk losing to win.
As for YT taking a sideways step, crikey! We’re on an upward trajectory…
On a free we can't really go wrong unless he decides to completely give up on his career
Some bangers ! 👊🏻8️⃣💜💙
UP THE VILLA!
Quality player and looking back at what Emery has done with our squad I think he'll be a great acquisition 😎🏐🏐🏐🏐 UTV
I think he will end up being a decent player for us as he's a clearly a very very good player. But we can't rewrite how he has played in the last TWO seasons. He's been woeful and his effort was concerning for Leicester fans. That's not saying he's bad or going to be bad, but he was crap for two years
Was surprised YT wasn’t snatched up by a top premiership club.
Delighted he decided to sign for Villa.
Villa could do with a midfielder with guile.
If Emery can manage a fitness/confidence-rebuilding job on Tielemans half as good as the one he did on John McGinn then I think we’ll have a very decent player on our hands.
Youri had 4th best running stats in the prem a season or so ago, so to say he doesn't get about the pitch is clearly wrong, tbh this guy sounds a bit salty, one minute he says he is first to training to have extra time in yhe gym the next min he says he is not fit?
Leicester city lost the plot from the top not backing manager and that went through the squad, they lost all ambition, started to lose players and no investment to replace ageing players like Vardy and Evans who clearly have lost their legs, and that gets into the whole clubs mindset, we have seen this happen to us under Lerner
Feels odd discussing his fitness, hes 26. We have paid >£25m for players approaching 30 and we was not worried about fitness then. Im sure if we have gone for him we are happy with him
The other big six obviously looked at man city and decided Tielemans was not good enough quality that would take them any closer to competing with them and weren't interested. Decent free signing for Villa but he was captain of a dreadful relegated Leicester side.
There's no issue with fitness
So it seems he is direct competition to Luiz, hopefully it will inspire both to knew heights UTV.
So good to hear a balanced perspective from an opposition fan – I think YT will be perfect to swap out with Dougie or Kamara especially for European games and cup games – even if he plays at half the quality, he’s an upgrade on what we’ve got. UTV
Very informative, some good insights
A measured approach from Jordan. It is so hard to swallow from a Leicester perspective to be relegated with a squad who should have been at least in the top half. Also after reaching such heights in recent times to see their stars stripped from them.
Don’t think he will get in the side😂
Luiz could play left and Tielemans in the middle with Kamara at times
Interesting, informative chat. Apologies for the big words Dan
As to a step up from Leicester, it is really only since Steven Gerrard went that our prospects looked better than Leicester's and I say that as a life long Villa supporter.
A great signing for us, especially on a free.
A talented midfielder with vision and on a free as well, exiting times ahead.
Sideways step 🤦🏻♂️ Leicester have only been a top of Aston villa, for about 5 years in the history of football
It blows my mind when fans say players don't care or aren't putting in effort.
You don't get to the top level and maintain that for years if you're not bothered.
