We all knew this was coming tbf, not surprised. Good luck to Davies. Luke mate, if Stoke etc. wanted Lindsay bad enough, we could have held out for an improved offer, let's say atleast 4.5/5 million+. But instead, we let him go for a measly 2 million. Pathetic.

My thoughts on players leaving such as Davies and Lindsay in this argument is been the same for so many years.
We have always been a selling club and nothing will ever change. Also it comes down to player's wages and demand. Until we change and pay better wages and quality players then we never be a successful championship team. So no complaining fans for if we are struggling constantly year in year out. It's more harder than ever now this 2nd division so I hope the board owners know what they walking into.
Davies was good last season but if he wanted to be here he would have signed by now we need to get another goalkeeper in and if the Stoke deal falls through tell him to do one .
Strange it only seems to happen to us, players out of contract or with a year left on their contract so we have to sell them on the cheap lessons to be learnt here
Davies has served us well. Good luck to him in his future. Can't blame him if he wants a new chapter in his career. I think we should take a punt on Jordan Smith, the goal keeper we had on loan from Notts forest.
Look cards on table time. Good lg1 keeper no argument. But last time in the championship davis got found out and cost us big points that season. . Any season ticket holder will tell you that good shot stopper a bit wobbly on crosses and has a clanger in him now and then. Would have liked him to stay but not end of the world. If we're looking in lg1 burton keeper or him at pompey for me. But I'm not stendel.
