Manchester United are expected to make a formal bid for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount soon, but a gap in valuation still exists.

Talks are continuing between the two clubs over the 24-year-old, whose contract expires in June 2024.

United have a price in mind for Mount and will not overpay for the Chelsea academy graduate as he heads into the final year of his current deal.

The club has other targets if the move doesn’t happen, with Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo a player United have a long-standing interest in.

It is thought they have asked to be “kept informed” on any developments regarding the future of the in-demand 21-year-old.

  1. Any news that speak about my club Manchester United, any media publication receives more views 😮. It's a Fact. They are the Biggest Club in England.

  2. We will end up paying north of 70 million for him meanwhile Liverpool buy Mac Allister for 35 it’s gonna be a painful transfer window for United I can see it already

  3. Mount is being bought to appease English media, nothing else. Its meant to soften the blow of Maguire leaving, in order for ETH to work without pressure from media😢

  4. I think the right time to watch sky sports news will be when the transfer window starts other wise we are tired of speculations and expectations. See you when the window opens

  5. Respect United a lot as a club, but why would a homegrown Chelsea lad go to united? The only worse would've been Tottenham

  6. Silly Man U got to South America and some European 2nd division and search for the key to get back to the top… it’s not that hard, instead of splurging money players who can’t score 10 goals for a season
