It was yet another disappointing result for Barcelona, drawing with Cadiz just days after their draw against Granada. With Ronald Koeman’s job under serious threat ahead of the upcoming international break. But will it be Belgium’s Roberto Martinez that takes over? Or Barça legend Xavi Hernandez?

  1. For me, I prefer Xavi to take over now because if I can remember when Guardiola came on as head coach this is exactly what we were going through so I will prefer Xavi to Roberto much love Culers more trophies 🏆 and more victory ✌️ to us we are Barca Barca forever ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

  2. XAVI XAVI XAVI XAVI XAVI XAVI XAVI WE NEED XAVI NOW PLEASE LAPORTA BRING HIM FOR US WE NEED HIM NOW ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆CULERS FOREVER ❤️❤️

  3. Xavi is the FUTURE of Barcelona.
Koeman has lost all respect and credibility, so he is already the PAST.
Henceforth the PRESENT remains with only one option : MARTINEZ !!

  4. Koeman's methodologies and ideas were looking like they could work a year ago. But the problem is that he is not a very tactically sound coach which Roberto Martinez is. How we can say that – he is defensive and defensive coaches are generally much more adaptive and flexible. His Belgium NT shows that as well.

As for Koeman, his tactics, ideas have not worked…looking at the 1 year picture. It does seem that many players have actually got tired of his ideas now. In such a case, even if Martinez comes and fails as a barca a coach – we could experiment with a different system and style (adding to the list of Setien, Koeman) and see what happens. We can take it up as an experiment and see if he can get more out of these players.

I am more towards giving managers enough time to show up and ingrain their ideas in players build some something for which 1 season is nothing for sure. Example – Klopp's Liverpool – first two seasons what it was and see now. So u need to give time to managers.

But the problem with Koeman is his attitude, his personality. He doesn't even know how to properly gamble with substitutions. The players he doesn't trust – doesn't give them a chance at all – whatsoever. That is just too rigid. And of course his blame game. He wouldn't accept if his tactcs are not working.

Thus, I'm in for the idea of trying out Roberto – he could be more defensive/counter-attacking but if that works at the moment, why not. Atleast players, fans, board will have something new to look forward to – because Koeman isn't showing any variation or flexibility. His barca team is becoming very montonous.

  5. Xavi is a club legend, and based on where Barca is currently, he is probably the person we need the most right now. The thing we have to accept is that we MUST give Xavi the opportunity to grow. If we get Xavi, we have to allow him to make his mistakes. That’s the truth that we have to except.

  6. this plastic fan will say koman out ..but Ronald Koman is Barca legend…he won 1st ucl with barca and best freekick taker back in days now some shit player is not playing good what he can do …stop bulshit…wait for a while..
@talkfcb put some respect before Ronald Koman name

  7. I think in this situation we’re in we need very trusted person to save this team without hesitation I will choose Xavi Hernandez over everyone😞

  8. If Xavi can use what he has at his disposal to play such unique football, imagine what he will achieve with the quality of talents we have…
He is the best person for this job long term

  9. Stick with Koeman is logical. Why to pay release clause and bring someone to put all the pressure? We did it with Valvarde and nothing was solved. If it is transition year let Koeman do whatever he wants.

  10. But when you say the money from CL & the money we need to pay to Koeman is pocket change, then what speaks in favour of a coach change? It's either new coach/pay Koeman 13M/get CL money or keep Koeman/pay him nothing/get nothing from CL. Then the decision shouldn't matter, right?

  11. It’s always the coach’s fault… when do we start to make demands to the players and question Them? Look at our squad and the injuries we have. Of course we’re throwing away points right now! We’ve had to play Yusuf Demir the last two games, he’s hardly hit a teammate when he’s tried to pass it… and all of these other Young players.. it’s all so exciting and it’s our future, but theyre not ready to start La Liga games and CL games each week – theyre 17-20 years for Christ sake they dont have the physique, the dont have the experience – they dont have the level yet. I am not saying we have other options im just saying we cant expect a coach to win every week when these teenagers are his only options…

  12. XAVI. Have you seen what he has done with a Qatar team? He legit made them play tiki taka with that quality of players… He's fully respected at Barça as club legend and I 100% believe he will succeed even without that experience. He is no Lampard, we're talking about a genius of the game, one of a kind.

  13. Koeman has so many excuses. Further he is of no use in the sidelines. No tactics. If the goal needs to be defended add defenders. If we need goals add strikers. If headers are the plan make defenders as strikers. He must leave with that respect he has in the club as a club legend.

Xavi can be better. I wanna trust him for long term

  14. Look at footage of how Al Sadd play. Xavi has TRANSFORMED that team, they play BEAUTIFUL football.. almost like Barça in their prime ( at a lower level of course, but still) I have great faith in Xavi.

  15. We need Xavi. However I see Laporta choosing Roberto Martinez over Xavi.
Failing to Secure Messi and Xavi within 4 months is a huge stain on his legacy especially when He had the opportunity to.

  16. Honestly, I'm fine with either. Both of their philosophy is Cruyyfian and they see the game the same way. Defensively, I'm leaning a bit towards Martinez – I watched that game between Everton and Arsenal in 2014, and I really like how they defend and press, and the smooth and fast transition to attack after winning the ball back feels slightly better than Pep's, IMHO.

Meanwhile, Xavi played Tiki Taka perfectly with players in Al Sadd, who supposedly are not naturally Barca DNA. While Koeman giving excuses about not being able to play Tiki Taka while having La Masia talents in his commands. I believe it's just an excuse to cover up the fact that he doesn't really understand Cruyff's philosophy despite him being in the Dream Team.

  17. Barca needs a reality check instead of demanding stuff on status gained by past results. Right now Barca is deep in the shits. And only has a few good players while the rest is lacking. If there is one or two injuries the squad is weakened greatly. Yet people can't accept the fact that Barca should just focus for a top 6 position. Going back to the drawing board and build up from scratch with a new youthfull squad and a few good signings. Now you got a mediocre squad with people still expecting more…. No matter which coach you put in front of this squad. They won't do much better than Koeman. Which coach would be crazy enough to join barca in its current state where nobody really knows what they want. Even LaPorta is giving mixed signals.

Unless Xavi gets 4 years the time to build from scratch with a youth team…. and thus accepting a top 6 ranking instead of going for the title… I would find it ridiculously stupid if he would join as an unproven coach. Because his entire career would be destroyed if any other approach is done.

  18. even if xavi won't bring us titles, he still at least gonna bring back our favorite playstyle we miss so much. no ten haag and def not matinez can bring it but xavi can. i'm all in for xavi and gonna support him even if he won't be able to give us fast results if the team is gonna play beautiful football.
