3 points was expected but 1 point is tolerable.
Disappointing outmode & all-around ugly game!!!.. From both squads honestly!!!.. Glad a point at least was rescued, as a loss would have been devastating in our chances/dreams to qualify!!!.. Now, though, we gotta go all in & win Weds…. It's a must!!!… ¡Vamos Canadá c***jo, sí se puede!!!💪🏿🙏🏿🇨🇦-⚽
Hurts to miss out on a WIN. Tie is ok for now.
The playing surfaces and lack of VAR is embarrassing for CONCACAF
The next 3 HOME Games may be essential to Win. Minimum 2 wins 1 tie.
Terrible performance
Canada has a rotating squad unlike Panama. It will be absolutely crucial that Canada take advantage and get 3 points out of their game against Panama at BMO Field next week. Keep in mind that Buchanan, Vitoria and Laryea will come back into the team fresh from their suspension and perhaps well rested and ready to attack a tiring Panama team.
a tie against the worst team in the standings….anyone who says this was anything less than a terrible result is mistaken ..
Nice too see how far this team come seeing that a point against Jamaica away was a bit of a disappointing result.
Let´s go John Herdman, let´s go Maple Leafs.
Liam Miller had such a golden opportunity. He shot not to miss the net and didn't shoot to score, he needed to be more courageous. Despite how difficult the moment is a player should always have an intended target to place the ball. Alistair Johnston is a rollercoaster of a player at this stage. I hope he can figure things out because some of his play is just frustrating to watch.
I like how the Canadian federation chose their 2 home qualifiers in November to be in their northern most city in Edmonton to play in to make it the coldest climate and environment possible for their central American counterparts. I am not 100 percent sure but I am guessing that was John herdmans idea. Previous coaches of canada were just to kind to the visiting teams and opponents that played in their home field. John herdman is clutch in his thinking and he wants to exploit those central American teams in ever way that he can, just like they did in the past against canada. So to play in the coldest Canadian city right when winter is about to start is one of the best ways to get the upper hand on their opponents in those matches who are only use to playing in hot tropical weather.
I feel this was a must-win against the worst team in the group!
