On this episode of OneSoccer Today, Andi Petrillo, Gareth Wheeler and Jordan Wilson look ahead to Wednesday’s CanMNT roster drop and come up with their picks for who they want (and, potentially expect) to see make up the squad for the upcoming Concacaf Nations League finals.
The Canadian men takes on Panama on June 15 (right here on OneSoccer!) in the semi-finals in Las Vegas, and will look to book a spot in the final to play one of Mexico or the U.S. on June 18 (also right here on OneSoccer!) and fight for their first piece of silverware since the 2000 Gold Cup triumph.
And with a brotherhood firmly in place, but more and more talented young options ever emerging, manager John Herdman will certainly have some decisions to make for this one. Let’s talk about it!

Mcgill in the list?
Really hoping Aidan Morris accepts the call. He could help beat the US in the final!
I don`t see the point of having Atiba at Nations League seriously . He has been a great player, but move on , he`s too old.
Same thing with Vitoria, old and very slow. Every team at the WC punished Canada with long balls over the top because the combo of Vitoria and Miller was too slow.
Ugbo , sorry he hasn`t scored in ages. He hardly played for a mediocre ligue 1 team.
I really want to see some fresh faces for the Gold Cup. This is the opportunity to play some young players. Building the depth of the squad is more important . September , we`ll hear oh no , we need to play our best players against elite competition.
Before the WC , we didn`t prepare the depth of the team, and we had to play 3 injured or not fully fit players, and we got punished by Croatia.
Well if we are being honest. The most talented roster in Nations League will be the United States. But I still think we can win
Well, Canada is a good team that's overly dependent on two great players, since the rest of the roster is made up of role players. There's a reason why they hadn't been to a World Cup since 1986. There's no process, no home-grown talent and certainly no development in the local league. It's just a team that took advantage of the "globalization" of the sport and its open borders policy to put together a decent squad, so enjoy it while it lasts.
Kaye has been terrible for both TFC and the CanMNT for 2 years now. Leave him home and give Loturi a chance.
Why are we only getting a roster 1 week before? There must be some issues that Herdman is sitting on to the last minute?
😂Canada better hope it doesn’t get the US in the final. I wouldn’t want to have to defend that attack power.
why would tom mcgill make the team over sirois when mcgill has hardly even played a professional match at 23 years old? sirois is younger and in good form + is actually playing
Perfect fit for Richie would be Leicester. Realistic chance to start, close to where he used to live, probably has friends. Big, rich club that has to downsize because of spending rules, but expected to go back up. They have had Canadian players in the past. His agent needs to know this.
