Haney is #1. I agree that Shakur is the best but nobody can dispute that Haney has a better resume than Tank and Shakur. Also Haney has not resigned with Top Rank and I doubt he will after Arum's comments.

I'm with Gareth for once. I had Haney. Loma took too long to get going.
I don't think it was anything special – people always remember the latter half of a fight more than the early part – Lomachenko was having more success later in the fight as he always starts slow and Hanley was better early. It could have gone a round either way and a draw ould have better a better result as niether guy dominated enough to win.
I think Hanly came into the ring expecting to dominate the smaller older man easily but even at 35 Lomachenko stillhas some moves but he's not the fighter he was and he's a weight class above where he should be. He doen't have the speed or power of Manny Pacquiao that he can carry up the weight classes so I think if there is a rematch I'd pick Hanly to win as he'll prepare better (i did think Hanley would win and i wasn't impressed with his performance, he looked like he hadn't trained properly) but I still pick Hanley to win a rematch, Lomachenko isn't going to improve with age and Hanley is 11 years younger and will improve for a rematch more.
I don't think the result was controversial as it was very close and either guy could have won by a round – if they do it again one guy will really need to dominate or it'll just be the same and I pick Hanley to be the one improving the most in a rematch.
Only casual fans are calling it a robbery it was either 7-5 Haney or a draw great fight

I got loma up 7 5, the disappointment was this is the second fight with elbows y are certain fighters getting away with it an the judges are getting worse how many times are they guna get away with it daylight robbery to fighters putting the hard graft in an judges getting it wrong

I’m a Loma fan, wanted him to win, yet I scored it 2 days after the match 116-113 Haney. Forget overall punch stats. It’s rounds won that wins the fight. I watched after hearing people say it was a robbery and still had it for Haney even though the pundits were all over Loma…….

Haney won… steamed ahead first 6-7 rounds! The matrix couldn’t dodge one body shot and his face told the story after the fight.
Its similar to tge Mayer vs Baumgardner fight because tge commentators acting like Mayer was winning but the judges gave it to Baumgardner. An people thought it was robbery me included, but when I watched the fight back the judges had it right 6-4 Baumgardner
CLEAR Loma win. No question. No debate to be had. I will never bet on boxing again and it will take something speacial for me to pay for it again

I scored it the same, to hayney. Most people are just bias loma fans, don't know how to score fights, or were decieved by the blatent bias commentary having orgasims for loma over sometimes nothing and completely ignoring 90% of hayney's success.
7-5 either way is fine what gets me is that all 3 judges had it one way yet you guys are saying it could go either way and fighters there had it lomas way 🤔 surely based on that at least one of the 3 corrupt fuckers would have had it in lomas favour?

Problem is there were corrupt judges again so we know the better man would never have won.
The top fighters are so closely matched that the elite level fights are going to be close and difficult to score. Judges need to be more competent, and the scoring system somehow needs less room for subjectivity. I hate when they use the phrase "it's what you like"
I agree with gareth for a change on this one. I had it 115-113 to haney but some of the earlier rounds close so easily could of been draw or 115-113 either way. Didnt think it was a robbery tho just a very close championship fight we've seen robberys before in boxing but this wasnt one of them. Overall punch stats dont define a fight because you gotta score it on a round by round basis. Saying that tho i think loma does deserve a rematch but if haney decides to move up an the belts break up then loma should get first crack at one of them
Haney won in my opinion
Should be a no contest and immediate rematch. We all know about the judge (miretti) that was asked to be removed and then subsequently gave the wide score. Also 3 American Judges in America scoring and American vs a Ukrainian. The odds were stacked against Loma from even before the fight. He would’ve had to get a ko to win imo.

How can you easily score it 2 rounds either way? You either have to not know what you're talking about or don't want to give a fully informed opinion so you don't look like a Muppet!! Close fights can still have a clear winner and I'm bored of boxing pundits fence sitting. Clearly a lot of them are stealing a living
