  1. After watching the interview I feel more confident in the upcoming season because it's obvious the prince is all in with United. I just hope he can get some investors to help finance some new faces that are desperately needed. He's a decent guy with the best interests of the club at heart and that in itself is fantastic. Let's hope that investors and new money will come and a big thankyou to the prince for everything you've done. C"MON YOU BLADES 👏 💪 👏

  2. Think the Prince has done a decent job and genuinely cares about the future of the club.

In hindsight Heckys appointment was a master stroke, which is amazing to think after watching that first car crash of a press conference when they announced it. I was definitely one of the doubters, but he’s proved us all wrong so far.

Obviously if we hadn’t been promoted we’d be completely fukd financially right now. £20 million for transfers is gonna be a struggle but I still think they can improve the team massively, as you say, business last summer was brilliant .

Keeping Ndiaye gives us a fighting chance, I think we have to roll the dice and let him run his contract down. And we all want to see him in the Prem in red n white.

    UTB ⚔️

  3. Again Jimmy agree on all points…Manning would be great signing and Doyle Archer on loan might be the way for us but Hecky has a job to do so we will be stronger whether its enough time will tell Blade4life

  4. Good video jimmy like your new upgrades. I think overall the prince has done a great job and genuinely cares for the club. Like he said in the interview he’s got no more money to put in but recognises we need someone now to take us to that next level. We’ll have to spend wise next season but in hecky we trust we’re in good hands. I give us a fighting chance next year and think we can stop up. UTB⚔️

  5. Well it’s the blades way isn’t it Jimmy, there’s always a hiccup in some shape or form lol, look we all knew if there was No takeover we would be penny pinching next season,I don’t care as long as the team is competitive and doesn’t get steamrolled every game,we all know what we got to work with next season,if illiman doesn’t sign new contract we got to sell, same with berge,I know they are our best players but that money generates more stable options in our kitty with contracts etc, sell illiman and get archer in on 4 yr deal, would blitz the championship if we go down, manning would be a good signing but I think overseas options would be better value as I think British markets are overpriced,Anel for example was a steal for pennies and we need more of that, look we are where we are,the money of going up pays bills and stability of club is more important than paying stupid salaries to try and stay there,my personal opinion I hate the prem,it’s so unbalanced it’s unbelievable, you got to bankrupt club to be competitive and stay there,I just want the money from the league and if we come down a better club so be it,good content Jimmy enjoy your hols UTB

  6. All i want to see from next season is survival in the Prem. By then, hopefully, there will be more investment to build us into an established top side. Fingers crossed.

  7. I get that we have to be sustainable but The Prince is Is buttering the bread too thin with all the other clubs in United world He isn't man city He needs to see the longer we stay in the Premier league the more money he gets and Hecky and his team need a fighting chance ⚔️⚔️

  8. 4th from bottom next year will do, then build after that. We need to make decisions on the youth coming through also. Can't wait for the fixtures to come out now, onwargs and upwards. UTB

  9. Ndiaye needs to sign a new contract, what's in it for him? It'll probably treble his wages (maybe more) and it gives him the safety net in case he gets injured or whatever.
Berge is a slightly different kettle of fish as he'll be returning to the level of wages he signed for.

  10. Good for an update from PA, but as you say didn’t really say anything we didn’t already know or have already surmised. I would definitely keep Iliman next season even if he goes for nothing next summer. He hopefully will only improve and if he helps us survive relegation we earn another 100 million, how do we replace him for next season if we sell him for a knock down price

  11. New format looks good but you looked a little sticky at times maybe that's the settings you had, Your phone for me is better quality, What microphone are you using mate? That sounds clear as a bell I might get one, Any chance you have a link for it pal, Up the Blades.

  12. I think Iliman knows what he means to us as a club, and to the fans. We absolutely must keep him for this season, I think he will want to give us this season. We gave him his chance and he took it with all that he could, so he deserves every bit of fortune that will come his way. I think his agent will take him elsewhere next year which is understandable but he has already made an imprint on the history of the club. We can look to our other u21s for similar prospects and hopefully it will give top youngsters a reason to sign for us! UTB

  13. New format is perfectly OK. Keeping it simple is always a good mantra and do what you are doing with the news and views. Thanks for the updates and have a good break in the caravan. Maurice from Malvern UK.

  14. That light will work great with a dark background, but not needed in strong daylight. The video quality doesn’t matter to me so much as the content though Jimmy, and you speak a lot of sense. I don’t discount raising money by trading players to upgrade the overall quality, but can’t lose Ili, Sander or Anel to do that. Brewster is one of 1/2 dozen with qualities we’ve yet to see really, but he has significant value. He’s the enigma of the summer to me .. The tx budget is what it is, but that might change.. I believe the Prince & Hecky are managing expectations, so not to overpay but there are plenty of skint clubs with good players in EFL.

  15. For me, I just think we should be doing top end loans from the top 6 (and reckon we should take a punt on trying to get Sessegnon off Spurs, even if it's a long shot).

I reckon the rest we should be looking at Belgium, at Holland, at Scandinavia, France, and Latin America. Places where the transfer fees aren't as silly, and the wages are less likely to be ridiculous.

Iliman… I say keep him no matter what. There is ZERO chance we get a player of his quality in. None whatsoever. He is the single most talented player I've ever seen play for us, and losing him isn't worth 25m and MAYBE doubling (because let's be real, it'd be 5-10 in reality, not a full extra 20) the transfer budget. We just keep him, and let him go free next season with all our best wishes

  16. On data driven scouting:

I know full well that there will be those who are sceptical, and those who straight up don't like it (and this is probably just my prejudice showing here, but It's probably mostly the same people who think Fleck or Ozzy are better than Sander because they run about more). But I'll be glad to see it. Undeniably, it's the future. It saves money on sending teams of scouts all over the world, and you only have to look at (as you say) Brentford, Brighton etc to see the results.

I'll put the caveat in there that I'm not a scout, or a coach, and I was always at best acceptable when I played just messabout football, and mostly just not very good even before I knacked my knee. I absolutely do not know more than a scout who prefers to do things the old school way, and I'm not saying that. I just think that because we're a poorer club it's the way we make our limited funds go furthest (not broke like a bury or whoever on the verge of going bust, or what Wrexham were like before the Hollywood takeover, but we're basically bankrupt in prem terms). The bigger and richer clubs don't have to do it, because they have the money to take a risk on a player who the data might say doesn't have much room to grow, or has a low ceiling or whatever. We don't have that, so we need to identify the players who haven't broken out yet, but have a chance to. We need to become a stepping stone club, rather than what we were for most of the Wilder years where we were more like a "forever home" for players who had been written off elsewhere for then to reignite their careers and prove everyone wrong.

I have no opinion on whether this is for good or bad, but Hecky is a VERY different manager to Wilder. Wilder is like a more tactical Warnock. He'll create an "us against the world" siege mentality, where everyone has something to prove etc, and we all know Wilder threw EVERYTHING at plan A, and if plan A didn't work, once in a while plan B was the same but with a defender off for a striker. Hecky is a lot calmer, a lot more variable in tactics, and personally I think a smarter, better coach, if not a better personality and man manager. There's a reason Hecky's really well thought of within the FA, and Wilder has about as much chance of working within the England set up as Ivan Toney has of making the squad for the 24 euros…

Point is, I think Hecky will do better with a Data driven scouting approach than any other manager we've had that I can think of, and I reckon data scouting would be a great model for his style and our budget.

If we suddenly get bought by the state of Qatar, or Elon Musk or whatever (I'd hate both of those for personal, non-football reasons of course but this isn't the place for that discussion), then obviously fuck it, let's buy Mbappe! But until then, we have to make very little money go as far as we can manage

  17. Jimmy, hi, Re the new set up … agree .. the look and feel and mic in your face is not the same friendly, personal and, as yourself said, engaging look .. back to basics I reckon !! cheers

  18. I think the old format was better Jimmy, get the beard back 😂. I do prefer the old format though Jimmy, it was much clearer.
It's sounding like the fans song – Ho we ain't got a barrel of money .. is going to be around for some time to come yet. Because of the lack of funds we are really going to have to roll the sleeves up and fight tooth and nail the Harry Bassett way in order to survive our return back to the world's richest league. Just hope we don't end up getting absolutely spanked and embarrassed by the Premier Big boys – Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal Man Utd etc. Bramall Lane and the Blades fans will have a massive massive part to play in the new season. It will be interesting ( or not interesting ) to see what either Coventry or Luton will have available to spend and strengthen whoever wins promotion. Sheffield United needs an ambitious new owner / owners ASAP. Sheffield United is a great Premier League club with a great fan base .. please come forward rich and ambitious potential new owners and buy.
    ⚔️⚔️UP THE BLADES ⚔️⚔️

  19. Brill post Jimmy, as usual, speaking from the heart.
Pity we're in a close season, where content is sparse.
We'll stick with you Jimmy, don't worry.

  20. I think there's plenty of free options out there to sign it's weather we can lure them to the lane

I think replacing iliman would be impossible but it's certain he's going onto better things although I would wish he would sign a new contract so we can get paid proper for him after a season with us in prem

  21. Did PA say that Dozy was slow in paying, which affected cash flow
If so, I don’t understand, the deposit would go into an escrow account and can’t be touched for cash flow
