The use of VAR is so inconsistent.
Its ridiculous these days players falling over! football used to be played by tough men and a push or pull was part of the game I don't know how you can referee these things consistently and fairly unless you make the game non contact 🤷🏽♂️
As an absolute nobody with no expertise or bias in any field besides watching a few games each week with a beer in hand, I’m surely qualified to say that it was certainly dodgy. Most armchair analysts wearing a city or Liverpool top will change their opinions every other week as long as it benefits them
Is this even a debate?
Of course the refs back their mates what does this prove?
It's the fact that he let so many other fouls go (from both sides) but completely changed his consistency when it was a goal
If it happened in the box the ref would give a pen why the drama when it's outside the box
Would it have been made such a fuss of if it went the other way, I know city have got huge financial backing but they lost simple as.
Yes he did foul Fabinho. Why does there need to be so much debate about it?
Also why the hell are they letting fouls go? Are they admitting they're not giving legitimate fouls?
Yes he dod
Fabhino had the ball and he pulled his shirt and he lost the ball, its a foul..
A foul is a foul
Yeh he did
The biggest error was made by the linesman. All this for a moot point. Ederson made a save from Salah so it was corner anyway
Is it worth mentioning that the shirt pull on Salah late in the game should have led to a red for Silva considering he kicked out and Salah and threw an elbow once they were both back up?
Never a foul, would hate to see this guy actually ref a game, he hasnt got a clue
Fabiho should have been sent off for kicking haaland from the back and didn't even go for the ball
It was scored from a goal kick where it should have been a corner, why can't var interfere with that game changing wrong call.
It's fairly simple to understand. The ref wants play to continue, rather than constantly stopping play for potential fouls. However, if a potential foul is commited in the leadup to a goal, it must be checked – had there not been a goal, play would have continued and no foul would be given.
What about when silva fouled salah? Should’ve been sent off
Haaland always shoves his marker in the build up and now he's been caught out lol
Stop crying City just except you lost stop complaining for starters it was our corner kick and they gave you a goal kick so shut your mouths
