The question of biggest signing since is a tricky one.
In the days when we signed Laudrup & Gascoigne , massively exciting as they were , we were in the habit of signing decent players of decent stature.
This one for me has (almost) the shock factor of Johnson as 1) it was also a bolt from the blue & 2) this league just isn’t EVER nowadays expected to attract a player anywhere near that level.
