  1. Because rumour sports journalists say so. No one can name 1 special talent or skill he's got other than 'he works hard'. Stop helping his agents to spread the rumours, it's a marketing tactic they spend a lot to keep going until he finds a big club #PackItIn

  2. Declan Rice is not a Sir Bobby Charlton, nor a Gerrard, Lampard neither a Paul Scholes. Declan Rice is like most British players (McGuire, Mason Mount, Jack Grealish, Conor Gallagher, Phill Foden etc) over hyped and over priced.

Caicedo on the other hand, reminds me of a Claude Makélélé, N'Golo Kanté, and a Michael Essien. I'll take him over a Declan Rice.

Hell, I'll take a Amadou Onana over a Declan Rice because I see a Patrick Vieira and Abou Diaby in him.

  3. Modern football transfer fees are bonkers. If he's worth 100mil then Caicedo and Mac Allister are worth double of that…

  4. Judging from alot of the comments, cannot help but think Rice is being under-rated. I have thought for the last 2 seasons he would be perfect in Midfield next to Partey but always thought we 1.couldn't afford him 2. He'd end up at Chelsea. The fact we can afford him now and could get him is amazing & we should get it done. My friend who's a Hammer rates him so highly and reckons he's worth it even if the price is inflated, the current market is inflated.
