I would prefer to have Goncalo Inacio, 21, from sporting Lisbon. Left footed version of Ruben Dias. Portugal's future centre back pairing will be elite. We were linked a few weeks back with the dippers, but seems to have gone quiet. Even though he left footed he's played on the right side of a back pairing as well as the left side. Great composure on the ball, fast strong, loves a tackle and reads the game well for such a young player. It would also stop us losing Shaw on the left whenever Licha is unavailable. Would love to see a scout report on him.

Kim is arguably the best CB in Europe this season, he could become first choice. If we could somehow milk 35/40m for Maguire then weโre spending 15m of the budget on a massive upgrade

Interesting point about Martinez. I think he probably wouldโve carried Arsenal over the line if he had signed for them, especially after Salibaโs injury. His calmness alone may have resulted in them not bottling the West Ham game, Liverpool game and maybe the Saints game.
Sorry. but Iโd allow Varane to leave. A great player when heโs fit but whenโs that? Lindelof is excellent and rarely injured. McGuire? Get real! Heโs far too slow. Luke Shawโs been superb. Hereโs who should go. Varane, Martial, Maguire, Donny, Henderson, Teles, Tuenzabe, ilanga. Iโd keep Bailley, thereโs a player in there somewhere.
Pep doesn't have a system, he just has two players capable of at least 7/10 every game. We need the same.

There is a few players in this squad who deserve high wages. Not everyone, but players like Martinez, Varane, Casemiro, Bruno. The leaders, experienced players who knows how to win stuff. The players who leave it all on the line, but also have the quality to perform at a high standard. Players like Sancho, Martial, Henderson etc, etc. Should be no where near that top bracket of earners. They never earned it, it was handed to them by poor business negotiators. This is why we have a soft under belly running through this squad, because these players never had to fight for an improved contract. It was too easy. They lose the fight to want to win enough trophies to build a room to house then in. They are thinking more about new houses, cars, watches and going on holiday. They are turned into football diva's
filling the holes in our lineup is important, as we all know Maguire is leaving and Varane has injury issues and can't play every game. Filling the holes in our defense with quality makes total sense

Vlahovic is a very promising player, but between him being injured for a big chunk of the season and not having the greatest season. That being a combination of Ultra defensive football and lacking of creativity by Juventus under Allegri. Plus lack of sharpness due to a stop start season. He is a good option, but you wouldn't necessarily put him top of the list after this season. Still very talented though. I wouldnt be upset if we couldn't get Kane or Osimhen and we ended up with Vlahovic instead. He is ready made for the EPL.Very strong, good on the ball, can create his own chances, good poacher, good at long range, bit of a target man also.
Neymar Jr was offered to United and any club who can afford him. What a good agent should be doing, but they use United's name to make a story and to drum up interest. Nothing story really.

if only Henderson, Scott, Donny, Martial, Maguire and the obvious (Telles, Bailly, etc) are sold we could easily do 2 STs, 1 CM and KMJ in defence for next season. it would be easy, but we still don't know if this club can do it.
could be Kane, Gift, Kone/Gravenberch, KMJ or Osimhen, Gift, Neves, KMJ or Ramos, Gift, Gabi Veira, KMJ or Hojlund, Gift (which might be better cuz that's two long term signings), Caqueret, Rabiot, KMJ. there are so many ways for United to sort the team out for +-220m if we can get the above players out. however, there being so many clear paths to a successful window and knowing that the club are inept is giving me the plague…

Liverpool academy, Harry Wilson, Awoniyi, Sterling, Conor Coady, Jack Harrison, besides Curtis Jones, Trent. They don't create top level to the scales some teams. But there are a few knocking about. Quite a lot lower down.
Our defence doesn't worry me so much.
The attack is just poor. Everybody does whatever they want, players taking shots from weird places while using their weeker foot. Players trying to shoot when they can pass and vice versa.
It needs addressing.
Chelsea paid a fortune at youth level on wages and contracts (for that level) to the tune of around 600k+ per week. They blew everyone out of the water by paying silly money. Selling a few academy players at good prices covered a years fee. But was never countered into ffp. Youth players were looked at being total profit on the books But alkowed them to spend more under the rules. But Abramovich written off these debts out of his own pocket (minimum ยฃ29m oer season). The authorities never really looked into it properly.
KMJ will NOT be a backup to Martinez. KMJ is taller, FASTER, better passer, better football defense IQ than Martinez. I want to see Matinez in Napoli, I bet he won't be as good. Napoli gave up the fewest goal in Seria A. If it was KMJ and Varane, Man Utd would be a BETTER DEFENSE, than Martinez (5'6") and Varane. It is obvious Stephen Howson has never seen any Napoli game.
Greenwood and Toney arenโt comparable in the slightest. One is stupid and the other is abhorrent.
KMJ must be the first option under ten hag`s team. His playstyle is more suitable to tactics even more than Varane.

I watch Kim Min-Jae and I see Maguire before he came to United. Idk man..
Furqan, Rabiot is a technically gifted #6/8 but comes with drama in the form of his mother, who is his agent. She has caused drama at both of his clubs to date, PSG and Juve. He has also been accused of lacking professionalism and having a poor attitude. In that sense, he is similar to Pogba who is also technically gifted but lacks the fire to make him the complete midfielder. I think Ten Hag sees this, which is why he didn't fight to keep him at the club, and will veto any move for Rabiot, even if he would be free. The fact that he was signed on a free by Juve and would be free again, is telling however. In that sense, he shares another similarity with Pogba.
The fact that Varane is on a high wage, makes it difficult to move him on, I think. Because any buying club will not only need to agree a price with United, they'll also need to agree terms with the player and that either means that the player will accept a lower salary or will require United to supplement his terms offered at another club with an agreed sum per week for the duration of his current contract at United.

Difficult to ask for anything with Maguire. I think, given the fact that the club will want and need to move him on, it'll be a case of accepting whatever we're offered, unless we're prepared to put him in the reserves and let any interested party come to United. And other clubs will know this and if they're prepared to play that game, will bid low and call the club's bluff.
I think Neymar comes with the entourage that all superstars come with, even more than the Pogbas of this world. He's not a team player, he's not someone who could get stuck in and put in a shift on a freezing, wet night at Stoke with them kicking him. He's a luxury player, not someone Ten Hag could depend on to be a starter and make United contenders. We need players with grit, leaders, who will drag us up the table. Like Martinez and Casemiro. That lack of grit is what is the difference between him and Messi.
