As usual James and Graham are spot on with their analysis. The experiment didn't work, but if you were going to try an experiment out, I don't blame them for picking a game which was unlikely to have any impact on the league. Yes I am aware that means we handed the league to City but did anyone seriously expect them not to beat Chelsea? This was a free opportunity to try something out under live fire conditions with no casualties. I don't blame Michel for giving it a go. He has hopefully learned a lot from the experience and I expect Arsenal to come back stronger next season.

Totally agree with James comments at the beginning, they should be ashamed of the last few games. Given up! Where is the motivation from the manager?
Terrible experiment from Arteta. I do worry about his management of the players, Tierney Esr etc
Great season with a wet fart for an ending. Injuries and fatigue didn't help but no excuse for capitulation. We truly did bottle it in the end.
We are getting stronger and it will be again Arsenal vs city. All other teams are too bad

Ok guys, Gabriel was trying to play the ball against him to get a goal kick but he was in a position to clear it off for a throw. IF IN DOUBT CLEAR IT OUT……Where have you heard that before….imagine Sean Dyche or Allardice coaching that situation. So in my opinion you need a man mountain in midfield! Rodri has been the main difference between us and City, Haaland gives them a plan B with De Bruyne! So Declan Rice, Harry Kane, Vlahovic are priority 1s. We know that those are the style of player we need in certain positions. The players we rid of we need to replace with better players so a war chest of 200 to 250 Mill is needed to overtake City. But when you look that are 250 Mill down on City it really tells you what a fantastic job Mikel has done with his team!

Graham and James. I must be the only person who was ok with this performance.
It is clear to say the players heads have gone so the energy levels were low but i can see the evolution of our tactical shape to make us less predictable in build up and to make it easier to rotate personnel.
As good as Zinny has been people know what he does and have exploited the holes he leaves. This structure can see us create overloads using any player in the back line and i can see Caciedo and Rice playing either in Midfield or defence in this structure.
I see this creating a clear distinction between our back 5 players and front 5 players. I can see out front 5 being more unstructured next year as a result so we can get away with a more ceeative player alongside Odergaard in the Xhaka role.
Ultimately as crap as the result was i am happy to see the evolution

Do you not see whats happening, arteta wants to totally refresh the squad, the real reason why xhaka and tierney are being linked with moves away, they are the only 2 real first teamers left to get rid of

Looks like Granit Xhaka is leaving – and if Tierney is sold , that will mean there will be no-one left at the club who played in the 2020 FA Cup Final when we beat Chelsea 2-1 to give Arteta his only Grade A trophy so far as Arsenal manager .

Cant see the same squad getting top four with the extra games and you know Chelsea Liverpool both UTDs will be stronger City are a machine so they will be top four in a bad season. The good news is it wont be the same squad four or five quality players is 250m plus selling some younger players would give you the chance to offset that amount so doable imo. Great show will watch more of these in future.

Did you guys re-watch the game? Trossard was holding width for most of the first half, but the team never switched to the left. When he went central, xhaka often would be holding width, but again we never switched play. No idea why kt didn't play, he would have been perfect for this game.
It's a bit too easy to just say that we missed Martinelli and thus blaming the guy who replaced him. Are we forgetting how poor martinelli was for most of January and February? Most of those games were against low blocks, where we also played mostly through the right side.
A bit lazy analysis this time imo.
However I still very much appreciate the show.
3 months ago you all said your equal and even better than city now all of a sudden you say your punching above your weight and they have wingers that can get on the ball 3 months ago you said saka is 5he best winger in the league along with martinelli and City made a huge mistake selling jesus and zinchenko to you lot hahahha

Then what is even the point of going through those stats?
Arteta does not learn quickly enough from set backs and reacts fast enough is another problem. He had to identify that Saliba's injury and Holding coming in was not working. He should have tried Kivior much faster. It may have meant the difference of at least 4 more points which would have put us in more competitive into final days, avoid the mental capitulation even if City were to nick us recently.
Running them close was critical not just for confidence moving forward but also you never know if City get docked points for recent contravention of financial rules.
Strange decision against Forest setting up the team would deem to suggest Arteta was more lucky than the full tactical genius many prefer to think he is.
Hopefully he learns from this and is big enough to get past his ego.

What I can assure people is that Xhaka going was long planned and Arteta and Edu and the key players all know who’s the replacement.

ESR10 Gundogan Caicedo are all ahead of the line. Rice comes nowhere near that.
We lagged behind City for not being able to keep possession against City. So getting Rice at no 8 helps us?????😮😮 what a joke!

This Xhaka replacement was planned as long ago as 2 seasons ago! No t now. People need to know just how extremely detailed and deep Arteta is! That no8 role is NOT A JOKE!
The 4th season Arteta has no time to bring a novice in ANY role.
People must wait and forget about the stories in the papers. Nobody knows who’s gonna take that role.
But it’ll be a player who does what Gundogan does to double up with Odegaard like Gundogan does with KDB, nothing less than that level.
Rice falls out immediately from after that clarity.
If a manager can’t trust therney at left has a left back, when therney is one of the best left back in the world and play kiwior at left back put don’t trust him to give him the ball what does that say to you ?
Nelson is good backup for either side we save a lot of $ there.

There are so many topics you can cover such as potential signings and formations etc. Regarding the end of season collapse I have an idea for MA. Use friendlies and training for experimental changes. It is not ethical to use premiership fixtures for this project. It is not fair on anyone including fellow premiership teams ( unless spurs can be hindered ). COYG
Quite interesting this (and I do enjoy these in depth tactical analysis vids) but it hides some very simple basic facts. It highlights Arteta's need / dream to be a Pep and almost find some super dupa 'new' 'Arteta Method' that gives him a place in the history books. That is not going to happen thinking in the way he does because he then ignores the most obvious aspects of the game – simple selections – simple, tactics and stop believing in 'theoretical ways' to win a football match. The game is simple. Footballers are not mind bogglingly intellectual. GIve them jobs to do that they are good at and with the right encouragement they will win you football matches. At the highest levels prolific strikers win you titles. If you do NOT have that your chances are almost nil. Nomatter how genius your midfield is defensive ability is if you do NOT have a top striker who can hit 20 + goals a season you are NOT winning a title. Nketiah is NOT it and neither is Jesus. If you do not have defenders who can defend you will ship goals. On both these fronts we failed. In terms of controlling this Arteta had more choices over defenders to leave out a defender as gifted as Tierney is staggering and I think City will buy him and show us how stupid Arteta is being. You can let Smith Rowe go but keep Vieira ?? Please? And mentallity? Teams mentallity is ALWAYS reflected from the manager. Says enough to me. Arteta one more season to see if he learns from this second debacle ending and then move him out. We NEED a striker above all else – a proper one.
Please stop making excuses for saka, yes city can rotate and I can accept a drop in form but saka has been virtually invisible for the run in, I haven't seen him beat a man since April. Looking at salahs minutes he's only played 52 minutes less that saka this season and he's still performing and having an impact on games, and trying to say saka will be more tired at 21 than Salah will be at 30 after playing at a top level and playing that many minutes if not more year on year is a bit ridiculous really
We need to sign a James Maddison can play on the right and the midfield would be the perfect player for us along with a Declan Rice and a decent striker and a back up for Saliba and we're set
